Week 2 of the 2025 NFL regular season had plenty of drama with some close games coming down to the wire. It also had plenty of surprise heroes that contributed some massive fantasy numbers. It was a very high-scoring week overall, leading to plenty of fantasy points in the DFS fantasy football contests on DraftKings, including the NFL $3.5M FANTASY FOOTBALL MILLIONAIRE [$1M TO 1ST], which gave entries a chance to claim a $1 million top prize. This week, an entry from kjk003 finished almost 20 points clear of the rest of the 197,758 entries and posted over 60 points more than Week 1’s winner. With strong choices in just about every roster slot, the entry racked up an amazing 260.2 fantasy points!

A Giant risk that paid off
The entry stacked a trio of Giants as affordable plays with extremely low ownership. Since the Giants went off in Dallas for 37 points in their overtime loss, the three players each brought huge returns on investment and also outstanding leverage.
Russell Wilson (34.3 FPTS) bounced back from a brutal Week 1 and threw for 450 passing yards and three passing touchdowns while also running for 23 yards and throwing an interception. He was owned in under 1% of lineups and brought the second-most fantasy points a the position on the day.
Both his primary targets were in the top entry as well. Malik Nabers (40.7 FPTS) was the No. 2 receiver on the day, while Wan’Dale Robinson (31.2 FPTS) was another extreme source of leverage with an ownership under 1%. Nabers had two touchdowns and 167 yards on nine catches, and Robinson had eight catches for 142 yards and a touchdown.
Robinson was the No. 5 receiver on the main slate, and getting elite production at that salary and ownership was a key to the success of kjk003 this week.
Amon-Ra St. Brown eclipses the Bears
Like the Giants, the Lions struggled in Week 1, but they roared back with a huge game in Week 2. Amon-Ra St. Brown (42.2 FPTS) was the only receiver to score more than Nabers, and he got into the end zone three times on seven catches for 115 yards.
Nabers and St. Brown were the only two players to post over 40 fantasy points on Week 2’s main slate, after only Josh Allen reached that plateau in Week 1.
While they were trying to keep up with St. Brown and the Lions, the Bears leaned heavily on second-year receiver Rome Odunze (34.8 FPTS), who had two touchdowns and 128 yards on seven catches. He was clearly the go-to option in Ben Johnson’s offense this week and could be ready for a second-year leap of epic proportions this season.
Picking the right ponies
The Colts stormed back and edged the Broncos in a horse-themed matchup in Indianapolis. While Daniel Jones (25.8 FPTS) was excellent once again, he got plenty of help from Jonathan Taylor (32.5 FPTS), who had two catches for 50 yards and a touchdown and racked up 165 rushing yards.
Taylor and the Colts can improve to 3-0 this week, as they host the 0-2 Titans.
Christian McCaffrey (22.7 FPTS) finding the end zone was not a surprise at all as he helped carry the load for the 49ers while Brock Purdy (toe) and George Kittle (hamstring) missed Week 2. He finished with six catches and over 100 total yards of offense to join up with Taylor and provide this winning entry with a very strong backfield.
Tight end and team defense do the work
The entry from kjk003 also included the 49ers DST, which was the only cold finish on the roster. The Niners did get three sacks and a fumble recovery but only finished with five fantasy points.
With so many points from the rest of the lineup, Jake Ferguson (16.8 FPTS) wasn’t needed for much at tight end, but he still had a big game on the other side of the Giants-Cowboys classic.
Ferguson had more targets than any tight end in Week 2, drawing 12 looks from Dak Prescott (26.1 FPTS) as the Cowboys rallied multiple times to ultimately get the overtime win. Ferguson caught nine of those passes for 78 yards, and that volume made him the best tight end on the main slate even though he didn’t get into the end zone.
The Bottom Line
With an amazing total of over 250 fantasy points, kjk003 set the new standard for fantasy scores this season. The entry took an angle no one saw coming and stacked players with great leverage and value. Even though the Giants came up short, their huge numbers were enough to propel this entry to the top of the leaderboard in Week 2.
