The final game of Week 2 will take place in Las Vegas on Monday night as the Chargers face the Raiders in an AFC West matchup.
Quentin Johnston will be looking to build on a Week 1 performance that saw him record five receptions for 79 yards and two touchdowns. The former first-round pick has had an underwhelming start to his NFL career, but last week’s performance is an indicator that he may have taken the next step in his career.

Despite finishing last Friday’s win vs. the Chiefs with the third most targets on the team, Johnston led Los Angeles in receiving yards. He made the most of his opportunities, catching five of his seven targets.
It was a surprise that Keenan Allen was targeted as often as he was with 10, but we will see if that continues. Ladd McConkey is the focal point of this passing attack, but the question for the WR2 position will come down to Johnston or Allen. After his performance last week, Justin Herbert might want to get Johnston some more opportunities.
44.5 seems like too low of a number in a game where the Chargers will likely air the ball out. Johnston, Allen and McConkey will all be involved once again, and even if Johnston is third in targets in this game, I still think he can get over this number.
Despite getting the win over New England in Week 1, Las Vegas still allowed 287 passing yards. In 2024, the Raiders allowed an average of 216.2 pass yards per game. In the final game of the 2024 regular season, Johnston had one of the best games of his career against these same Raiders, catching 13 of 14 targets for 186 yards.
While I don’t expect him to have a game quite like that, 45 yards or more seems very realistic for the third-year wideout.
