The fifth season of Dana White’s Contender Series is here, and the first women’s fight of the year has arrived. Shanelle Dyer is taking on Carol Foro in a three-round Women’s Strawweight bout to open up the show. Dyer holds a perfect 6-0 record with four knockouts, while Foro is 8-1 with seven finishes in her career.

I break down my best bet for Shanelle Dyer vs. Carol Foro taking place on tonight’s episode of Dana White’s Contender Series right here.

Shanelle Dyer Moneyline (-180)

In this matchup, Dyer has a two-inch advantage in height (5’4″ vs. 5’2″) and standing reach (64″ vs. 62″). Also, although Foro has three more fights in her career, Dyer has competed three times in PFL Europe. This is Dyer’s first fight since September 2024. Foro is 2-0 in 2025 with two knockouts in the first two rounds, as her last six victories have come by KO/TKO.

Even though Foro is older with more experience, she is a +140 underdog in this matchup as Dyer is -180 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Getting Dyer at -180 is the best play in this fight since she has the physical advantages, while having fought on bigger cards in the past. This is the first women’s fight of this year’s DWCS and has the potential to be an elite bout between two supremely talented athletes.
