Las Vegas Aces vs. Chicago Sky prediction, pick for Tuesday 9/9/25

The Aces are hosting the Sky on Tuesday night. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Las Vegas is favored by 18 points, and this game carries a total of O/U 160 points.

Below, I broke down the matchup between the Aces and the Sky and give a pick for the game.

Aces vs. Sky preview, prediction

The Aces and Sky are facing each other for the second game in a row. These clubs went head-to-head this past Sunday, and Las Vegas defeated Chicago 80-66, improving the Aces’ record to 2-0 vs. the Sky this season. Angel Reese (back) and Ariel Atkins (back) both missed this game for Chicago, and that could be the case again tonight. This season, Reese and Atkins rank first and third in scoring for the Sky, respectively.

Reese has been dealing with a lingering back injury all summer, and with Chicago having nothing at stake for Tuesday, it feels likely that Reese will remain sidelined. Chicago sits second-to-last in the standings at 10-32 this season, and the team is a dreadful 1-11 with Reese inactive.

While the Sky limp to the finish line of the regular season, the Aces have been the best team in the WNBA recently. Las Vegas has won 14 games in a row, including an impressive 10-point win over the top-seeded Lynx last Thursday. Minnesota leads the league in net rating, and before Las Vegas’ win over the Lynx last Thursday, the Aces were 0-3 against Minnesota this season with an absurd 32.7-point margin of defeat.

A’ja Wilson has been unstoppable for the Aces, leading the WNBA with 25.9 points per game since the All-Star break. During this time, Las Vegas ranks third in net rating. Meanwhile, the Sky rank dead last in net rating over this span. While Chicago has nothing to play for, the Aces are in hot pursuit of the No. 2 seed as the playoffs near. Las Vegas is a half-game behind Atlanta for the No. 2 seed, so the Aces can’t afford to lose either of their final two games of the regular season if they want to claim that spot in the standings.

Aces vs. Sky pick, best bet

The Aces dominating the Sky on Tuesday is inevitable, and this game could get out of hand if Reese sits. That being said, this 18-point spread is massive, and backing any team to cover that amount of points is always a risky proposition.at amount of points is always risky.

With the spread for this matchup so large, placing a wager on the total for this game makes more sense, specifically the under. This game presents a total of O/U 160 points, and the first two matchups of the season between the Aces and Sky both fell short of this number for an average of just 149.5 points per game.

Best bet: Under 160 Points (-112)
