Week 1 of the NFL season is just about wrapped up, so as we get hyped for Week 2, we’ve seen how most teams are going to approach their backfield in 2025. While there are some exciting new players in the mix for some teams, figuring out how teams are approaching their timeshares will continue to be key in order to determine which running backs have the most fantasy football value going forward. Let’s take a look at my top 30 running backs to start in Week 2 after a thrilling Week 1 full of big performances at the position.
In Week 1, the big names came to play! Derrick Henry (29.2 FPTS) led the way, despite a crucial fumble that he said cost his team the game. Bijan Robinson (24.4 FPTS), Christian McCaffrey (23.2 FPTS) and James Cook (21.2 FPTS) all had big weeks as well, and Javonte Williams (20.4 FPTS) had a pair of touchdowns in his Dallas’ debut to round out the top five running backs in PPR scoring.
McCaffrey had an injury scare with a calf issue that had him questionable, but he came through with a huge workload against the Seahawks and has a great matchup that moves him to the top of my Week 2 Rankings (assuming he’s healthy, of course).
Each Monday throughout the season, I’ll be bringing you my RB rankings every Monday here on DK Network throughout the season to help you set your lineups. Since these rankings debut on Monday, anything that changes throughout the week will need to be adjusted.
