The 2025-26 NFL season is underway. There are far more ways to get involved in the action than just via traditional betting. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this season is Pick6 Fantasy Football!
Here are my top Pick6 plays for Monday Night Football.
J.J. McCarthy More Than 16.5 Rushing Yards
J.J. McCarthy is making his NFL debut after spending his entire rookie season recovering from an injury. McCarthy was a national champion at Michigan and will look to start his NFL career with a win against his division rivals. McCarthy is an underrated athlete who should be able to use his legs at the NFL level. As a quarterback making his first start, McCarthy could be more reliant on his legs than normal. He should have some nerves in primetime for his first NFL start, which often causes quarterbacks to use their legs more. Rather than forcing a tough ball that could lead to a turnover, he may take off and run and take the easy yards. McCarthy could get some designed runs called and will definitely be able to scramble, which should get him over this number.

D’Andre Swift More Than 76.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards
D’Andre Swift will be happy to be back with his old Lions coach, Ben Johnson. Johnson was the passing game coordinator and eventually the offensive coordinator while Swift was in Detroit. Swift had the best receiving season of his career during the 2021 season when Johnson was the passing game coordinator. That season, he ranked second on the Lions in receptions and had over 1,000 all-purpose yards, despite only playing 13 games. Johnson is a great schemer on offense and should find ways to get the ball in Swift’s hands. Brian Flores of the Vikings is a great defensive coach, so Johnson will want to make things easy on Caleb Williams and get the ball to Swift early and often.

Caleb Williams More Than 20.5 Completions
Caleb Williams is hoping for a big sophomore season. Williams was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Bears. He showed flashes of why he is such a special prospect in his rookie season, but the consistency wasn’t there. Williams takes some of the blame, but the shaky play could be attributed to bad offensive line play and worse coaching. Williams had to deal with something that is always tough for rookie quarterbacks: his coach got fired during his rookie season. Former Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is now in charge of the Bears and Williams should improve with the new staff. Williams averaged 20.6 completions per game last season, and that number should get bumped up in year two. Williams was asked to do a lot in his rookie season. Ben Johnson should do for Williams what he did for Jared Goff, which is make things simple. Johnson should get Williams going by giving him easy passes to his running backs and tight ends, then allow Williams to use his big arm once he gets into a flow.

What is DraftKings Pick6?
Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of 2+ players and select whether you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.
How to Play
Create a Pick Set
Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you can not pick the same player twice, and you must pick players from at least two different teams.
Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
Sweat Your Picks
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
