Two playoff teams from the 2024 season, both with 10-7 records, are the Houston Texans and the Los Angeles Rams. The two will face each other in a big Week 1 matchup. C.J. Stroud Over 233.5 Passing Yards (-113)
After C.J. Stroud regressed in passing yards and touchdowns in his second season, he is due for a bounce-back year in 2025. Stroud went from averaging 273.9 yards per game to 219.2 in 2024. Stroud ended the season throwing for 245-plus yards in his final two contests.
Stroud hit this mark in 11 of 19 overall games in 2024 and still possesses elite potential. In his first two seasons in the NFL, Stroud has surpassed 233.5 passing yards in each of his first two Week 1 games. If Stroud does return to his rookie season form, it is wise to back him early this season, as his total in passing yards will continue to rise if he finds success.
Davante Adams Over 54.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
Davante Adams is entering his 12th season in the NFL and is still competing at a high level. Sunday will be Adams’ first game with the Rams and is his third different team in the last two years. Adams has had 1,000-plus receiving yards in five straight seasons.
Adams has been one of the most consistent WRs in the NFL and has averaged 72.2 yards per contest during his career. Last season, Adams averaged 75.9 yards per game and had more than 54.5 receiving yards in nine of 14 games in 2024. Getting him to hit this over in yards at -114 on DraftKings Sportsbook is good value since he has formed Houston in the past. Adams has totaled 91, 95, and 196 yards in his last three games against the Texans.
Kyren Williams Over 68.5 Rushing Yards (-111)
Kyren Williams is coming off his best season as a pro, rushing for 1,299 yards and 14 touchdowns last season, which are both career highs. William finished seventh in rushing yards in the NFL while averaging 81.2 yards per game, the sixth highest.
Williams finished the year strong on a personal note, rushing for 76 and 106 yards on the ground in the postseason. Including the playoffs, Williams hit this mark in rushing in 14 of 18 total games last season. Although Williams’ yards per game and yards per attempt decreased in 2024, he still attempted 19.8 rushes per contest, the most in his career. His fourth-year campaign begins at home, where Williams should have a good chance to start the season on a positive note against the Texans. Williams‘ rushing yards are set at 68.5, which you can get at -111.
