The 49ers are looking to bounce back in 2025 after a disappointing season that saw them miss the playoffs. Fortunately, they enter this year with one of the NFL’s easiest schedules and will look to start fast in Week 1. They open on the road in Seattle as 1.5-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook.
The Seahawks underwent big changes of their own this offseason, swapping out Geno Smith for Sam Darnold and adding veteran Cooper Kupp to line up alongside Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Despite a modest game total, there are a few player props that offer solid value in this NFC West clash.
Here are my three favorite prop bets for 49ers vs. Seahawks:
George Kittle Over 62.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
Christian McCaffrey popped up on the injury report this week with a calf issue, going from full participation to limited, and then missing practice entirely on Friday. While he’s expected to suit up, it’s fair to question how close to 100% he’ll be.
That could lead to a more pass-heavy game plan from Kyle Shanahan. With Brandon Aiyuk still sidelined and Deebo Samuel now out of the picture, that leaves George Kittle as the clear alpha in this passing game.
Kittle is coming off a 2024 season in which he posted 78 receptions, 1,106 yards, and eight touchdowns, clearing this yardage line in eight of 15 games. With San Francisco likely leaning more on the air attack, Kittle is set up for a big opener.
Brock Purdy Over 243.5 Passing Yards (-115)
If McCaffrey is limited — or simply not his usual self — the 49ers could put more on Purdy’s plate early. Backup RB Brian Robinson Jr. hasn’t been on the team long, so a heavier reliance on the passing game would make sense.
Purdy cleared this number in 10-of-17 games last season and enters Week 1 with a healthy group of weapons in George Kittle, Ricky Pearsall, and Jauan Jennings. With fewer short throws to McCaffrey and no Deebo Samuel to soak up yards after the catch, we could see Purdy push the ball downfield a bit more.
If San Francisco is going to live up to its bounce-back expectations in 2025, it starts with Purdy. This is a manageable line for him to clear in a competitive division game.
Kenneth Walker Over 14.5 Rush Attempts (-125)
Expect Seattle to lean heavily on its run game this year — and it starts with Kenneth Walker. New offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak arrives from New Orleans, where his rushing schemes were a bright spot. That success has reportedly translated well in Seattle’s preseason, even without Walker taking snaps.
With Zach Charbonnet rotating in, there’s always a threat of a timeshare, but Walker remains the lead back and one of the league’s most explosive runners. This game has a tight spread, suggesting it should stay close — and that game script supports a full workload.
If Seattle wants to keep the ball out of Sam Darnold’s hands and shorten the game against a superior opponent, feeding Walker 15+ times makes perfect sense.
