The Huskies rank second nationally in yardage, eighth in scoring, and eighth in passing after Week One. Their 75 percent third-down rate ranks fifth, driven by early-down explosives and manageable distances. Syracuse allows opponents to move the chains 58.3 percent on third down, ranking 126th nationally. The Orange defense ranks 127th in total yardage allowed and 129th in scoring after one game. UConn’s pass game averaged 10.4 yards per attempt with clean pockets and flexible formations.
UConn vs. Syracuse pick, best bet
Syracuse’s offense brings measurable punch against a step-up test for UConn. Angeli averaged 6.9 yards per attempt on 40 throws.
