Two of the greatest boxers of all time, Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather, are scheduled to face each other in an exhibition boxing match in 2026. The official rules with the fight weight, number of rounds, location, and date of the contest aren’t known at this moment.
Mayweather, 48, is one of the greatest champions in boxing history while holding an undefeated 50-0 record with 27 knockouts in his professional career. Mayweather held 15 major championships throughout his career in five different divisions. His final professional boxing fight was against Conor McGregor in August 2017. Since then, Mayweather has had six exhibition boxing contests. A few notable opponents from his exhibition fights have been Logan Paul, Deji, and, most recently, John Gotti III in August 2024.
Tyson is 11 years older than Mayweather, as he is currently 59. Tyson is a former Undisputed Heavyweight Champion and the youngest Heavyweight Champion in boxing history. In his career, Tyson had a record of 50-7 with 44 knockouts, with his last appearance coming against Jake Paul in November 2024. Tyson lost to Paul via unanimous decision.
Mayweather weighed in at 160.8 pounds in his previous fight against Gotti, while Tyson hit the scale at 233 pounds against Paul. Tyson has a two-inch height advantage in this bout as he is 5’10” with Mayweather being 5’8″.
