Ever since CM Punk returned to WWE on November 25, 2023, at Survivor Series, it’s been long speculated that his wife, former WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee, would follow suit. Those thoughts and speculations came to fruition Friday night in Chicago, when Lee returned for the first time in over 10 years.

As Becky Lynch was cutting her promo on Smackdown, the crowd was already in a ruckus for the rumored return of Lee.

WWE to trying to load up their Wrestlepalooza card
Currently, the only match confirmed for Wrestlepalooza is IYO SKY vs. Stephanie Vaquer for the vacant Women’s World Championship. From what happened on SmackDown, it’s very likely we’ll see Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena, as Lesnar attacked Cena tonight. With Lee’s return, we can likely pencil in AJ Lee & CM Punk vs. Becky Lynch & Seth Rollins as well. WWE is going to try and go all out for this card, as it’s the first premium live event broadcasting on ESPN.
