What happened to Christian Yelich? Injury updates for Phillies vs. Brewers 9/3/25

Just under an hour before Wednesday’s game vs. the Phillies, OF Christian Yelich was scratched from the Milwaukee lineup due to lower back soreness and was replaced by Jackson Chourio. Yelich has played in 132 of 139 games so far this season, so hopefully this is once again a minor absence.

Yelich has been one of the key pieces who has led Milwaukee to their 85-54 record. He has 134 hits, 92 RBI and 27 home runs this year while batting .268. Yelich will be sorely missed in the lineup, and Brewers fans will hope that he will be back for the final game of this series on Thursday.
