What happened to Kyle Tucker? Live injury updates for Braves vs. Cubs 9/2/25

UPDATE: Tucker will not play in Wednesday’s game, per Cubs manager Craig Counsell.

UPDATE: Tucker exited due to left calf tightness.

Only a few innings after hitting a three-run home run in Tuesday’s game vs. the Braves, Kyle Tucker exited the game and was replaced in right field by Willi Castro. There has been no mention as to why he left early and if he suffered a potential injury.

It’s been a solid season for Tucker so far, posting 130 hits, 70 RBI and 21 home runs while batting .267. Hopefully for Cubs fans this isn’t a serious issue, as these teams play once again on Wednesday. Chicago is still battling for position in the National League playoffs, and a Wild Card spot looks the most likely as of now with just a few weeks left in the season.
