After the Clash in Paris, WWE has already begun the road to Wrestlepalooza, taking place on September 20, and it will be their first premium live event airing live on ESPN.
Seth Rollins and CM Punk’s feud has once again heated up and could lead to the return of AJ Lee. With WWE hosting its first event on ESPN, this card has the potential to be an elite one. Here are my predictions for the WWE Wrestlepalooza card.
Potential WWE Wrestlepalooza Card
WWE Undisputed Championship Match
(C) Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre
A few weeks ago, Drew McIntyre hit Cody Rhodes with a Claymore through the announce table, and we haven’t seen the Undisputed Champion since. With Wrestlepalooza in the near future, Rhodes will likely return to WWE television soon to respond to McIntyre.
WWE Women’s Championship Match
(C) Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill
Tiffany Stratton successfully defended her WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill at SummerSlam, but hasn’t had a title defense since. In recent weeks, the feud between Stratton and Cargill has been heating up once again. After losing at SummerSlam, this could be the time for Cargill to win her first WWE Women’s Championship.
WWE Women’s World Championship Match
Stephanie Vaquer vs. Iyo Sky
The first official match to be announced for WrestlePalooza features a matchup between Stephanie Vaquer vs. Iyo Sky for the vacant Women’s World Championship. Vaquer won the women’s battle royal at Evolution in July to earn a title opportunity, but has yet to challenge for gold.
Mixed Tag Team Match
CM Punk & AJ Lee vs. Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch
Although this one isn’t for a championship, if AJ Lee does make her return, everyone would be talking about it. AJ Lee hasn’t wrestled a match in WWE since 2014, and the fans have been clamoring for her return to the WWE ever since. Punk and Rollins have had an incredible rivalry since Punk returned in November 2023, but this could take it to the next level.
Singles Match
John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar
After Brock Lesnar returned at SummerSlam and F5’d John Cena, a match between the two seemed inevitable. With Cena taking care of Logan Paul at Clash in Paris, Wrestlepalooza is the perfect place for this match to take place. Cena and Lesnar have a lengthy history spanning 23 years, with six singles matches between them in their careers.
Tag Team Match
The Usos (Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso) vs. Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed
Since Jey Uso moved to Monday Night Raw and created his “Main Event Jey Uso” persona, the Usos haven’t been a regular tag team. They have only teamed together once in a tag team match in the past year, but The Usos’ return to tag team competition makes sense after Jimmy came to Jey’s aid on Monday Night Raw.
