What happened to Lourdes Gurriel Jr.? Live injury updates for Rangers vs. Diamondbacks 9/1/25

In the top of the sixth inning of Monday’s game between the Rangers and Diamondbacks, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. was injured while chasing down a fly ball in the outfield. Although he got close to his teammate Blaze Alexander, it appears to be a non-contact injury for Gurriel Jr.

It looks to be a leg or knee injury for Lourdes Gurriel Jr., who was able to stand before being carted off the field. He had his head in his hands as he was taken off the field. Diamondbacks fans will be hoping for the best, but there’s a chance that we won’t see him again until 2026 with Arizona out of playoff contention and less than a month left in the regular season.
