The US Open continues on Wednesday as the second round begins. There are some great matches on Wednesday, headlined by Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz, Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka.

US Open Second Round Best Bets
The second round of the US Open begins on Wednesday. These are the best bets to consider for the biggest matches of the day:
Taylor Fritz vs. Lloyd Harris: Fritz to win 3:0 (-115)
Taylor Fritz had a career-best Grand Slam performance in Queens last year, making the 2024 US Open Final. The American then made his first-ever Wimbledon semifinal last month, giving him good momentum heading back to the US Open. Fritz looked comfortable in his opening round match, beating fellow American Emilio Nava in three sets. He should be able to replicate that performance against Lloyd Harris in the second round. Harris hasn’t made it out of the second round of a major since 2021 and is currently ranked 353rd in the world. Fritz won each of his first three matches in straight sets at the 2024 US Open and should keep that trend going in early rounds by beating Harris in straight sets on Wednesday.
Novak Djokovic vs. Zachary Svajda: First Set u9.5 Games (-135)
Novak Djokovic defeated the exciting young American, Learner Tien, in the first round at the US Open. He will be back in Arthur Ashe Stadium for the day session on Wednesday against Zachary Svajda. That was a tough first-round matchup for Djokovic, as Tien is actually the No. 50 player in the world. On paper, this should be an easier challenge against another young American, as Svajda ranks 145th in the world. Tien gave Djokovic one tough set, forcing a tiebreak in the second set, which Djokovic won. However, the first and third sets were both pure domination, Djokovic winning 6-1 and 6-3, respectively. Against this lesser competition, Djokovic’s experience should allow him to dominate. Not until he needs to face the likes of Alcaraz, Sinner, Fritz or Shelton will he start to sweat.
Carlos Alcaraz vs. Mattia Bellucci: Alcaraz u18.5 Games Won (+120)
Carlos Alcaraz debuted a new haircut to much fanfare before his first-round match against Reilly Opelka. He handled Opelka in straight sets, with the fresh trim working very much in his favor. Alcaraz should keep the domination rolling against Mattia Bellucci in the second round. For the confused reader who might be new to betting on tennis, betting under 18.5 games won on the 22-year-old phenom is a sign that he will dominate in a match like this. The bet implies that Alcaraz will not only win in three sets but also not require a tiebreaker in any of those sets. So far at the Grand Slams this season, he has accomplished this feat twice at Wimbledon, twice at Roland Garros and twice at the Australian Open. He should put together a dominant performance against the inexperienced Bellucci to cash this bet.
Aryna Sabalenka vs. Polina Kudermetova: Kudermetova o5.5 Games Won (+110)
Aryna Sabalenka, the top-ranked woman in the world, will be headlining Arthur Ashe Stadium on Wednesday night. Sabalenka is determined not to let the season pass without winning a Grand Slam title. She made the Australian Open Final, French Open Final and Wimbledon semifinals, but is yet to turn those great performances into a trophy. She is the defending champion here at the US Open and is hoping to end the season with a bang once again. The Belarusian is facing Polina Kudermetova for the second time in her career. They faced off earlier this season in the first round of the Australian Open, where Kudermetova stole the first set from Sabalenka. This is just Kudermetova’s third Grand Slam appearance, but the younger sister of World No. 6 Veronika Kudermetova has a great pedigree. She should feel confident in this matchup against Sabalenka after stealing a set in Australia and should string together at least six games across two sets, even if she can’t steal a set again.
