Home runs. Long balls. Bleacher reachers. Whatever you want to call them, people love watching and betting on home run props during baseball games. So much so, we’ve got a whole article dedicated to just that.
All 30 teams are in action on Tuesday night, which literally means hundreds of players to choose from on the DraftKings Sportsbook. Allow me to narrow the field down to three bets: Daulton Varsho, Christian Yelich and Colson Montgomery.
Top Home Run Props on DraftKings Sportsbook
Daulton Varsho 1+ Home Run (+330)
It has been a strange season for Daulton Varsho. The Gold Glove winner didn’t debut until April 29 after undergoing shoulder surgery in the winter, then Varsho missed all of June and July due to a hamstring injury. The result? Varsho has played in only 44 games in 2025 and he’s taken just 174 plate appearances. However, he’s certainly made his limited opportunities count. Among those with at least 150 PAs, Varsho’s .350 ISO is the highest mark in baseball. That’s right. Higher than even Cal Raleigh, who hit his 50th home run of the season on Monday evening. It’s a small sample, but Varsho’s 18.3% barrel rate ranks close to the 100th percentile of the MLB and he’s averaged a long ball every 10.5 at-bats. In other words, he’s the perfect man for a home run prop bet. It doesn’t hurt that Varsho will be facing Bailey Ober on Tuesday, either. Since June 6 — a contest where Ober surrendered a pair of homers to this same Jays lineup — the Twins’ RHP has allowed 18 big flies in nine outings. That includes 4.10 per nine specifically to LHBs like Varsho.
Christian Yelich 1+ Home Run (+450)
It’s difficult to overstate just how poorly Brandon Pfaadt has pitched away from Chase Field in 2025, but the easiest way to explain his struggles is by noting that 18 of the 21 home runs that the RHP has given up so far this season have come on the road. That’s 2.54 long balls per nine within the split. Woof. In general, Pfaadt has struggled with suppressing quality opponent contact across his 140.0 total innings and 26 starts, as he enters Tuesday’s action in possession of a fourth percentile xERA (5.71) and a sixth percentile opponent barrel rate (11.7%). Meanwhile, Christian Yelich has already hit 26 home runs in 2025 — the most he’s had in a single campaign since all the way back in 2019. Yelich has been particularly amazing in August, slashing .333/.423/.567 with six long balls and a 175 wRC+. This should be a perfect matchup for the veteran.
Colson Montgomery 1+ Home Run (+350)
Did you know that only three players have more home runs than Colson Montgomery since the All-Star break? Did you know that Colson Montgomery’s hit 13 long balls since the Midsummer Classic? The exact same amount as Shohei Ohtani? Maybe you did, maybe you didn’t. Either way, the White Sox’s rookie has been impressive since his debut. In fact, in his 161 plate appearances, Montgomery owns an elite .559 expected slugging percentage and a 14.4% barrel rate. These homers aren’t a fluke at all and I’m anticipating the former top prospect hits No. 14 on Tuesday night in matchup with Michael Lorenzen and the Royals. As you might expect, Lorenzen has had more of an issue keeping the ball in the park when pitching away from the spacious Kauffman Stadium in 2025. To wit, Lorenzen has conceded 1.69 home runs per nine within the split. He’s also giving up 1.76 long balls per nine to opposing RHBs.
