WNBA Best Bets Today: Top Picks for Monday 8/25/25

Updated:

By: Alex Hunter

The WNBA season continues Monday with a two-game slate. The Liberty are hosting the Sun and the Sky are hosting the Aces. Below, I have featured two of my favorite bets for Monday’s WNBA action on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Las Vegas Aces -10.5

The Aces have been incredible recently. Las Vegas has won 10 games in a row and the club is 13-3 since the All-Star break. During this span, the Aces rank third in net rating and the team’s margin of victory has been 12.3 PPG. Meanwhile, the Sky have been putrid since the All-Star break with a 2-12 record while ranking dead-last in net rating by a mile.

Angel Reese (back) is healthy again for the Sky after the All-Star was sidelined for an extended period, but Chicago is only 1-4 in the last five games Reese has been active for. Those four defeats have been by an average of 14 PPG.

The Aces should cruise to an easy win over the Sky tonight and backing Las Vegas to cover this 10.5-point spread is a smart call.

New York Liberty U 91.5 Points

The Liberty are hosting the 9-27 Sun tonight and both Sabrina Ionescu (foot) and Breanna Stewart (knee) are expected to play after being listed as questionable. While this is an ideal setup for New York to notch a win on it’s home floor, where the team is 14-5 this season, this large 91.5-point implied team total is simply too high for the Liberty.

While Connecticut sits at the bottom of the standings, the Sun are a much improved team since the All-Star break, especially on the defensive end, as Connecticut ranks third in defensive rating since the layoff. During this time, the Sun are only allowing 81.3 PPG and the team has held opponents to under 91.5 points in nine of it’s 14 games.

Having both Ionescu and Stewart healthy again is obviously huge news for the Liberty, but even with these two stars active, New York exceeding 91.5 points tonight feels unlikely. In the 23 games the Liberty have played with both Ionescu and Stewart active this season, New York is averaging 88.3 PPG.
