Will Lamar Jackson Contend For MVP Again in 2025? NFL Predictions, Betting Splits for Ravens

Published:

By: Sam Connon

The one-two punch of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry lived up to the hype and then some in 2024, and the Baltimore Ravens standouts are back for more in 2025.

But there is still plenty left for the duo to accomplish, especially considering Jackson fell just short of his third MVP. They also lost to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round, extending both superstarsโ€™ streaks of never reaching the Super Bowl.

Now that the world knows that Jackson and Henry fit together, expectations are even higher in Baltimore.

Ravens Win Total

DraftKings Sportsbook has the Ravensโ€™ Win Total set at 11.5 for 2025, up from 10.5 heading into 2024. Their Super Bowl odds have also gone from +950 to +500 year-over-year, all while their preseason playoff odds went from -330 to -550.

There is plenty of public confidence in Baltimore, with 88% of bets getting placed on the over for the Win Total. At the same time, 79% of the handle is on the over, suggesting a slight sharp lean away from that play.

A similar dynamic can be found in other Ravens-friendly futures, with 71% of bets and 52% of the handle on Baltimore To Make the Playoffs, 25% of bets and 14% of handle on Baltimore as Conference Winner and 12% of bets and 9% of handle on Baltimore as Super Bowl champions.

Lamar Jackson Futures Splits

Josh Allen narrowly beat out Jackson for MVP in 2024, winning by five first-place votes. The two are tied for the best odds to win the award in 2025 at +550.

There is more support for Jackson than there is for Allen at this point, though. The former accounts for 9% of the handle on 11% of the bets, while the latter is drawing 4% of the handle and bets.

The line for Jacksonโ€™s Regular Season Passing Yards is set at 3,500.5, with 75% of the handle and 87% of the bets going towards the over. There is a similar outlook in regards to his Regular Season Passing TDs line, with 75% of the handle and 77% of the bets taking the over on 28.5.

Jacksonโ€™s Regular Season Rushing Yards line has been set at 750.5, which he has cleared in each of the last six years. As a result, 97% of the bets and 89% of the handle has been placed on Jackson to achieve the feat again. The over on 4.5 Regular Season Rushing TDs accounts for 95% of the bets and 77% of the handle on that prop.

Since becoming a full-time starter in 2019, Jackson has averaged 3,143 passing yards, 27 touchdown passes, eight interceptions, 913 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns per year. He missed 10 games between 2021 and 2022, but has missed just one game over the last two seasons.

Jackson racked up 4,172 passing yards and 41 passing touchdowns with a 119.6 passer rating and 66.7% completion last season. He also rushed for 915 yards and four touchdowns.

Other Notable Player Prop Splits

Henry may not be a leading MVP contender like Jackson, but his +6000 odds are tied for the best among non-quarterbacks. That puts him right alongside Saquon Barkley, who led the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl victory last season.

The Ravens are surely hoping Henry can do the same for them in 2025, building on top of his dominant 2024. Following Henry’s eight-year stint with the Tennessee Titans, he immediately rushed for 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns in Baltimore.

Jackson also turned Zay Flowers into a 1,000-yard receiver and got Rashod Bateman over 750. Tight end Mark Andrews, meanwhile, led the team with a career-high 11 receiving touchdowns in 2024. DeAndre Hopkins has entered the fray as well, replacing Nelson Agholor on the depth chart.

Here is where the prop lines currently stand for Henry, Flowers, Andrews and Bateman heading into 2025, as well as where the splits are leaning at the moment:

  • Henryโ€™s Regular Season Rushing Yards prop is set at 1,350.5. The under has seen 71% of the handle on 26% of the bets.
  • Henryโ€™s Regular Season Rushing TDs prop is set at 13.5. The under has seen 62% of the handle on 78% of the bets.
  • Flowersโ€™ Regular Season Receiving Yards prop is set at 900.5. The over has seen 89% of the handle on 91% of the bets.
  • Flowersโ€™ Regular Season Receiving TDs prop is set at 4.5. The over has seen 88% of the handle on 98% of the bets.
  • Andrewsโ€™ Regular Season Receiving Yards prop is set at 600.5. The under has seen 51% of the handle on 23% of the bets.
  • Andrewsโ€™ Regular Season Receiving TDs prop is set at 6.5. The over has seen 79% of the handle on 80% of the bets.
  • Batemanโ€™s Regular Season Receiving Yards prop is set at 550.5. The over has seen 80% of the handle on 99% of the bets.

Henryโ€™s odds to win Offensive Player of the Year have slipped to +1300 after opening at +1000. Still, though, 3% of the bets and 5% of the handle have sided with the All-Pro.

On the other side of the ball, outside linebacker Mike Green and safety Malakai Starks are drumming up some action for Defensive Rookie of the Year. Green is drawing 5% of the handle on 4% of the bets, while Starks is driving 2% of the handle on 2% of the bets.

Here is a quick breakdown of how the Ravensโ€™ key players performed game-to-game against the prop spreads last season (Note: Some of the records below include postseason play.):
