For the fourth straight year, AEW and NJPW are collaborating to put on their Forbidden Door PPV event. Forbidden Door is occurring at the O2 Arena in London, England.
5:34 p.m. ET: The Death Riders attacked Will Ospreay after the match
After the Main Event ended, the crowd showered Will Ospreay with praise. But then, The Death Riders decided to re-enter the cage and beat Ospreay down. The Opps came to Ospreay’s defense, but it was too late.
5:28 p.m. ET: Team Allin defeats Team Moxley in the Main Event
This match was all action from the second the bell rang. Will Ospreay and Darby Allin appeared to be the first two opponents to draw blood.
The Young Bucks work so well together and did an incredible job of picking everyone apart one by one. Even though they haven’t teamed up a ton, The Death Riders and The Young Bucks have tremendous chemistry.
The Bucks and Death Riders had complete control in this match throughout the first 15 minutes. As always, Jon Moxley took things to the next level. Moxley drove a fork through Allin’s ear, forcing him to gush blood.
Ospreay put Moxley through a barbed wire table, which started a shift in momentum for Team Allin. With a 10-person match, there were so many false finishes. Even though this was a five-on-five match, Moxley tried to bring Wheeler Yuta into the cage. Allin and Gabe Kidd both fell through four tables stacked on top of each other outside of the cage.
With Moxley outside the cage, Team Allin took control. Omega and Ospreay combined to hit a one-winged angel and a Hidden Blade on Matt Jackson.
4:52 p.m. ET: Will Ospreay got a massive ovation!
When Will Ospreay made his entrance, the O2 Arena became unglued. He got one of the loudest pops from the audience in recent memory.
4:36 p.m. ET: It is time for the Lights Out Steel Cage Match!
Will Ospreay, Darby Allin, Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, and Hiroshi Tanahashi will face Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Young Bucks, and Gabe Kidd in the final match at Forbidden Door. Anything goes in this contest, as it is an unsanctioned match.
4:31 p.m. ET: “Hangman” Adam Page defeats MJF to retain the AEW Championship
After a grueling match, “Hangman” Adam Page beat MJF to retain his AEW World Championship. Page now has a 2-1 record against MJF in singles competition.
This has been a heated rivalry over the last few years, and each competitor wasted no time hurting the other. Just like their other two singles matches, this one was another incredible contest.
Page put MJF through a table outside the ring, severely hurting him. A few minutes later, MJF hit Page with a tumbstone piledriver through a table, but the champion got back to his feet. Page threw MJF into an uncovered turnbuckle, leaving MJF with a face full of blood.
This match was fantastic with all 19,000-plus fans chanting in unison, “fight forever”. MJF pushed Page into the ref and then had Page beaten with a three-count. But Page’s foot was on the rope. MJF hit Page with his briefcase, but then Page responded and did the same thing to win the match.
3:54 p.m. ET: “Timeless” Toni Storm defeats Athena to retain her title
“Timeless” Toni Storm’s AEW Women’s Championship reign continues as she beat Athena.
Athena is the longest reigning ROH Women’s Champion and pushed Toni Storm to the brink. The pace that Athena wrestles at is hard for any opponent to keep up with. Even though Storm is a four-time AEW Women’s World Champion, Athena was getting the better of her in the first half of this match.
Although Athena had a good showing, Storm tapped her out in the end. Storm’s title reign is nearing 200 days, and her next challenger is unclear.
“Hangman” Adam Page vs. MJF for the AEW World Championship is the next match.
3:32 p.m. ET: Wardlow returns!
After a long hiatus, Wardlow has returned to AEW after 16 months away. He emerged at Forbidden Door to attack Prince Nana in front of a brutalized Swerve Strickland. The Don Callis family continues to grow as Wardlow is the latest wrestler to join the group.
Only three matches remain at Forbidden Door. The first of two championship matches left is next, with “Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Athena for the Women’s World Championship.
3:27 p.m. ET: Kazuchika Okada retains his AEW Unified Championship
Kazuchika Okada defeated Swerve Strickland to retain his AEW Unified Championship at Forbidden Door.
Kazuchika Okada vs. Swerve Strickland started slow but picked up the pace throughout the contest. Okada delivered a brutal DDT on the steel steps, laying out Strickland.
Okada displayed his aggressive and violent side of himself, which forced Strickland to level up his game. Strickland bounced back and showed his warrior mentality to take control in this matchup.
Okada and Strickland are two of the best wrestlers in the world, and they showed why that is true at Forbidden Door. Strickland seemed to be batting through a knee injury, among other things, throughout this match. After the match, Okada hit Strickland with multiple chair shots.
3:05 p.m. ET: Brodido wins the AEW World Tag Team Championship!
After only being a tag team for over a month, Brodido defeated The Hurt Syndicate and FTR to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
As soon as this match began, the action shifted to outside the ring. This match had everything you could want in a tag team championship contest and more. Each team works so well together, which made this such a competitive match.
Early on, The Hurt Syndicate proved why they have been the champions for over 200 days. Their combination of power and quickness is rare. The face-off between Bobby Lashley and Brody King was unbelievable.
As more time went on, The Hurt Syndicate started taking over in this match. But they were taken out of the action by Ricochet and The Gates of Agony. After that, Brody King and Bandido took over and got the best of FTR.
Swerve Strickland is challenging “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada for the AEW Unified Championship next.
2:41 p.m. ET: AEW sets attendance record at O2 Arena
Tony Schiavone announced an attendance of 18,992 fans at Forbidden Door. This is the largest attendance in the history of the legendary O2 Arena.
The Hurt Syndicate defends their AEW World Tag Team Championship against FTR and Brodido in the next match.
2:36 p.m. ET: Zack Sabre Jr. defeats Nigel McGuinness to retain his IWGP World Championship
After many false finishes, Zack Sabre Jr. picked up the victory against Nigel McGuinness and retained his IWGP World Championship.
Nigel McGuinness received a warm welcome from his hometown crowd in London, England. The fans were chanting, “Oh, Nigel McGuinness”. This was McGuinness’s third singles match since he made his return in 2024.
In this matchup, Zack Sabre Jr. is 11 years younger than McGuinness. Sabre Jr. is one of the greatest pure in-ring wrestlers in the world today, and proved it today. This was a fantastic technical wrestling match.
Sabre Jr. does an excellent job of focusing on each area of his opponent’s body and breaking them down throughout the contest. Although Sabre Jr. is quick, McGuinness matched him throughout the first half of this match. In the end, the champion was just one step ahead of McGuinness.
With this victory by Sabre Jr., NJPW is now 1-1 against AEW in one-on-one matches today.
2:12 p.m. ET: Mercedes Mone retains her TBS Championship
Mercedes Mone overcame the odds once again and defeated Alex Windsor, Persephone, and Bozilla. Mone’s TBS Championship title reign has lasted 453 days and shows no signs of ending. She will become the longest reigning TBS Champion in 56 days. Mone pinned Windsor to retain her title.
From the start of this match, Alex Windsor and Bozilla had the power advantage in this contest. The three challengers made it their goal to eliminate the champion, Mercedes Mone, as quickly as possible.
This match featured numerous false finishes, with each competitor coming close to winning the title. Windsor delivered a massive suplex with all three opponents. But in the end, Mone did just enough to leave as champion. In the first two championship matches, the champions retained their gold.
The next match is for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, with Zack Sabre Jr. defending his title against Nigel McGuinness.
1:48 p.m. ET: Kyle Fletcher defeats Hiromu Takahashi to retain his TNT Championship
Even though Hiromu Takahashi is older by nine years, Kyle Fletcher took control at the start of this match. Every time Kyle Fletcher competes, he continues to evolve as a wrestler. Fletcher showcased his elite, versatile skill set, excelling in many styles.
Takahashi did an excellent job in this match of fighting back and never giving up. When Takahashi finally took control of the offense, the crowd was loving it.
Takahashi had moments throughout this contest, but Fletcher is currently just on a different level. Fletcher’s combination of speed and strength is currently unmatched in AEW. The first match on the Forbidden Door PPV card between an AEW and NJPW wrestler delivered.

1:25 p.m. ET: Adam Copeland & Christian Cage defeat Kip Sabian & Killswitch
Kip Sabian and Killswitch started this match quickly and were beating down Adam Copeland. Even though it was great to see Christian Cage and Copeland on the same team, they didn’t have the same chemistry they had during their original tag team run.
Sabian was bleeding early in this match, and the tension built up with his partner, Killswitch. Even though Cage has yet to fully embrace the love from the audience, the O2 crowd was chanting his name. The moment Copeland made the tag to Cage, there were a ton of cheers. Copeland and Cage picked up the victory in a hard-hitting contest to open up Forbidden Door.
Kyle Fletcher defends his TNT Championship against Hiromu Takahashi in the next match.
1:08 p.m. ET: Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. Kip Sabian & Killswitch is the first match!
Forbidden Door began with Adam Copeland’s entrance, and the crowd at the O2 Arena loved every second of it. This is the first time Adam Copeland and Christian Cage have teamed together since 2011. They will take on Cage’s former friends, Kip Sabian and Killswitch.
