This Sunday, WWE Heatwave returns and will take place at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts. This event features wrestlers from WWE, NXT, and TNA. This year marks the fourth straight year that WWE has put on the Heatwave premium live event. Heatwave was originally an ECW event from 1994 to 2000.
Obi Femi defends his NXT Championship in the Main Event against the “Young OG” Je’Von Evans. Five total matches are featured on this card, with three title bouts.

NXT Championship Match

Obi Femi has held the NXT Championship since January 7 and has had quite a dominant reign. Femi has had eight successful title defenses while destroying everyone in his path. In their careers, Femi is 2-0 against Evans in championship matches with his last victory coming at Stand and Deliver 2025.
Je’Von Evans is still only 21 years old and continues to improve at a rapid pace. He has demonstrated that he has what it takes to be a future WWE Champion. Evans is coming off a massive win against Trick Williams on Tuesday. Although it would be an excellent moment if Evans could pull off the upset, this doesn’t seem like the right time for Femi’s reign to end.
Prediction: Oba Femi retains his NXT Championship.
TNA Knockouts World Championship Triple Threat
(C) Jacy Jayne vs. Masha Slamovich vs. Ash by Elegance
At Slammiversary, Jacy Jayne beat Masha Slamovich for her TNA Knockouts World Championship to become a double champion. A few months ago, it would have seemed unbelievable, but Jacy Jayne is holding the top titles in NXT and TNA while having an excellent reign. An NXT superstar holding a TNA Championship has created a unique dynamic that has helped bring intrigue to both companies. For now, Jacy Jayne should reign supreme as a double champion.
Prediction: Jacy Jayne defeats Masha Slamovich and Ash by Elegance to retain the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
NXT Tag Team Championship Tag Team Match
(C) Hank and Tank (Hank Walker and Tank Ledger vs. DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars, or Cutler James)
Hank and Tank have had a nice 120-plus day reign as Tag Team Champions, but this division needs a shakeup. Since debuting a few months ago, DarkState has taken NXT by storm. They possess a level of uncertainty that makes for excellent television. This would be a great moment for DarkState to win gold for the first time and take on a bigger role in NXT.
Prediction: DarkState defeats Hank and Tank to win the NXT Tag Team Championship.
#1 Contender Triple Threat Match For The NXT Women’s Championship
Jaida Parker vs. Kelani Jordan vs. Lola Vice
All three of these women have taken a step forward this year, but one sticks out in particular. That is Kelani Jordan, who was the inaugural NXT Women’s North American Champion. Since she lost the title in October 2024, she has experienced some ups and downs, but has since rebuilt herself and now appears ready for the biggest women’s prize in NXT.
Prediction: Kelani Jordan defeats Jaida Parker and Lola Vice.
Women’s Singles Match
Jordynne Grace vs. Blake Monroe
Although the previous match is for the official number one contendership for the NXT Women’s Championship, the winner of this match could put themselves in that conversation as well. Since Blake Monroe joined NXT, she has had three matches and has a 2-1 record. Her first match was a tag team match in which she teamed up with her WWE Heatwave opponent, Jordynne Grace. Although Monroe technically has one loss in NXT, it was due to a countout. Grace is a tremendous competitor and has a bright future in the WWE, but it is just too soon for Monroe to take a pin.
Prediction: Blake Monroe defeats Jordynne Grace.
Mixed Tag Team Match
Chelsea Green and Ethan Page vs. Tyra Mae Steele and Tavion Heights
The final match on this card features a tag team match of Canada vs. the United States. Chelsea Green and Ethan Page have formed an intriguing veteran duo in recent weeks. They will face Olympic Gold Medalist Tyra Mae Steele and Tavion Heights. With Green and Page’s extensive experience, this is a lopsided matchup.
