Cooper Kupp is gone, meaning Matthew Stafford will need to find a new security blanket to rely on in 2025.
Admittedly, Kupp had been banged up and regressing for a few years, so it isn’t as if the Los Angeles Rams ran into this problem overnight. Puka Nacua came into his own while Kupp was still on the roster, and now he has a chance to take an even bigger step forward.
The Rams also went out and signed perennial Pro Bowl receiver Davante Adams, though, so there are no guarantees about who will be the team’s No. 1 wideout.
Rams Win Total
DraftKings Sportsbook has the Rams’ Win Total set at 9.5 following back-to-back 10-7 seasons. That is up from 8.5 entering 2024, when there were plenty of questions about depth and health on both sides of the ball.
Even though the line has crept up year-over-year, and many of those questions remain, 88% of the handle and 88% of the bets have gone to the over on 9.5 in 2025.
Los Angeles has made the playoffs in six out of eight seasons under head coach Sean McVay, winning four NFC West titles, two NFC championships and one Super Bowl along the way. But despite being favored To Make the Playoffs at -160, the Rams only account for the 21st most-bet handle on that prop.
The Rams are sitting at +280 to emerge as a Division Winner, which is drawing 46% of the handle on 50% of the bets. Their odds to win the NFC rank sixth at +1300, while their +2200 Super Bowl odds are tied for ninth-best in the NFL.
Puka Nacua Futures Splits
One of the most universal prop bets on the market heading into 2025 is on Nacua’s Regular Season Receiving TDs, which is set at 5.5. The over has accounted for 99% of the handle and 99% of the bets.
Nacua’s Regular Season Receiving Yards prop is set at 1,200.5, with the over drawing 71% of the handle on 78% of the bets.
Whether or not Nacua clears those marks depends heavily on his health, given how his first two seasons in the pros have gone. He finished second in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting in 2023 after recording 1,486 yards and six touchdowns on 105 catches in 17 games. Then, in 2024, he was limited to only 11 games and finished with 990 yards and three touchdowns on 79 receptions.
The right knee and PCL issues that plagued Nacua last year appear to be deep in his rear-view mirror, and he has made it through the bulk of the preseason healthy.
Nacua ranks second in handle for Most Regular Season Receiving Yards, despite carrying the fifth-best odds. He is also building up steam in the Offensive Player of the Year race, drawing 4% of the handle on 3% of the bets as his odds have gone from +2000 to +1600.
Other Notable Player Prop Splits
With Stafford battling a lingering back injury throughout training camp, 37-year-old signal-caller’s season-long player props are OTB. He still ranks fifth in bets for Most Regular Season Passing Touchdowns, however, as the starting quarterback in a McVay offense.
Stafford has exceeded 26 passing touchdowns just once since 2018, racking up 41 in 2021. Across the other six seasons in that span, he has averaged 20 a year.
Adams gives Stafford an elite deep-ball and red-zone target that he hasn’t paired up with since Calvin Johnson, so it isn’t shocking to see people show faith in the veteran despite his injury concerns. Kupp and Demarcus Robinson are both gone, leaving plenty of production for Adams to mop up in their place.
When it comes to the player props on Adams and running back Kyren Williams, here is where the splits stand at the moment:
- Adams’ Regular Season Receiving Yards prop is set at 1,200.5. The under has seen 49% of the handle on 11% of the bets.
- Adams’ Regular Season Receiving TDs prop is set at 6.5. The under has seen 88% of the handle on 60% of the bets.
- Williams’ Regular Season Rushing Yards prop is set at 1,000.5. The under has seen 67% of the handle on 4% of the bets.
- Williams’ Regular Season Rushing TDs prop is set at 6.5. The over has seen 72% of the handle on 81% of the bets.
Williams’ Offensive Player of the Year odds are trending in the opposite direction as Nacua’s. He is now sitting at +7500 after opening at +5000.
