It’s Farmageddon across the pond, baby! In a neutral site game, the Iowa State Cyclones will take on the Kansas State Wildcats in Dublin, Ireland. Below, I’ve got my favorite player props for the game, which you can find on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Here’s how I’ll play it. I’ll be pumping out these predictions for individual games all season, with plenty of coverage here on DraftKings Network. Follow my handle @dansby_edits for more betting plays.
ISU vs. KSU (Farmageddon) best player props
Carson Hanson 60+ rushing yards (-115)
I’m also backing Carson Hansen over 60+ rushing yards at -114. Iowa State shifts philosophically toward 12 personnel and trench leverage. They return 106 offensive line starts, averaging 6-foot-6 and 322 pounds. That mass creates double teams and clean climb angles. Hansen gets the volume and the lane integrity.
Hansen averaged 5.0 yards per carry on 151 attempts last season. He logged 58 yards on 13 carries against Kansas State. Expand that to 16–18 touches in a run-forward script, and efficiency meets threshold. Iowa State eclipsed 55% red-zone touchdown conversion when playing on schedule. Early down runs deliver that schedule.
Yes, Kansas State’s front seven thumps. They allowed 3.6 yards per rush last season and finished second in Big 12 sacks. They also produced a 20% red-zone TFL rate, which is outstanding disruption. I’m attacking between the 20s, not banking on goal-line volume. Iowa State’s tight ends blunt edge pressure and widen fits.
Dublin tilts toward ground success. Cooler temps, travel fatigue, and damp surfaces punish wide splits and deep drops. Early clock drain benefits a featured back, not perimeter timing routes. With Higgins and Noel gone, Iowa State protects Becht with carries. That funnels predictable touches to Hansen.
The market sits Kansas State -3 and total 50.5 at noon in Dublin. Iowa State is 8-6 ATS last season and 5-0 ATS versus Kansas State across five meetings. None of that changes my prop calculus; it clarifies script. Close spreads and neutral sites reward ballast.
Best bet: Carson Hanson 60+ rushing yards (-115)

Avery Johnson Anytime TD scorer (-170)
Avery Johnson anytime touchdown at -105 is pure value. His rushing equity is baked into Kansas State’s offensive DNA, and the context in Dublin sharpens that edge. Johnson scored in six of his last eight games last season, thriving in red-zone sets where the Wildcats leaned quarterback power, zone-read, and designed keepers. Without DJ Giddens, Johnson inherits an even greater slice of short-yardage responsibility, especially against an Iowa State front that replaces three starters.
The Cyclones allowed 81 runs of 10+ yards last season, ranking bottom ten nationally in explosive rush defense. That weakness pairs perfectly with Johnson’s acceleration when the play breaks down. Kansas State averaged 215 rushing yards per game and 6.1 yards per carry, with efficiency surging on quarterback carries in compressed space. Iowa State’s linebackers will be stretched covering tight ends—who caught 11 red-zone touchdowns last year—leaving Johnson free to exploit vacated gaps.
Ireland’s cooler climate and early kick compress the passing game, making quarterback legs more valuable near the stripe. Market odds mirror that expectation: Johnson’s rushing TD price is juiced at -155 elsewhere. At near-even money here, I’m locking the yes. It’s a quarterback-centric rushing scheme in a red-zone dependent game.
