What happened to Jaxson Dart? Live injury updates for Patriots vs. Giants on Thursday 8/21/25

UPDATE: Dart cleared concussion protocol.

In the first quarter of Thursday’s preseason game vs. the Patriots, rookie QB Jaxson Dart appeared to hit his head on the turf after taking off to scramble. He then exited the game to head to the blue medical tent. Dart then exited the tent and returned to the Giants’ bench.

Dart was off to a solid start in his first four drives, going 6/12 for 81 yards and a touchdown. He also had one rush for 23 yards. It was an impressive outing from the rookie, who also dealt with some drops.

Jameis Winston replaced him and threw a touchdown pass on his very first attempt to give the Giants a 14-0 lead after the first quarter. On the next Giants drive, Winston entered the huddle once again, meaning Dart is likely done for tonight. Stay tuned to DK Network for live updates on his condition.
