Following a seven-game absence while nursing a back injury, Angel Reese finally returned to the court on Tuesday against the Storm. The 23-year-old forward was on a minutes restriction but still totaled 19 points and seven rebounds while shooting 9-of-13 from the field across 26 minutes of action. Tonight, she draws a sneaky good matchup against an up-and-down Breanna Stewart-less Liberty squad. While Reese ranks first in the WNBA in rebounds per game and New York allows the most rebounds per game, she has only cleared her line of O/U 12.5 rebounds once in the past six games.
Considering she dealt with a back injury and is still ramping up her minutes, I’ll be avoiding the usual trend of choosing rebound-related prop bets when it comes to Reese. This works out rather nicely, though, because now we’re getting plus-odds for a line that Reese was clearing rather easily prior to her injury.
