Two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson left today’s Ravens practice with a wrist/hand injury. The star quarterback was reportedly knocked down while throwing a pass and had his hand stepped on. He stayed in for a few additional plays, but then walked into the team facility with the athletic training staff.
A Baltimore Ravens spokesperson told reporters that Jackson is fine and the removal from practice is strictly precautionary. But with just 18 days until the Ravens open the regular season, this is still not what the team wants to see. Stay tuned for any updates as the team provides them, but for the time being, all messaging from the Ravens is that this is not expected to have any impact on Jackson’s availability.

An injury to Lamar Jackson would be a significant hit to all of these hopes, but for the time being crisis seems to be averted.
