Astros at Tigers game delayed due to rain Tuesday 8/19/25

UPDATE: First pitch for Tigers vs. Astros is now tentatively scheduled for 7:15 p.m. EST.

The start of Tuesday evening’s matchup between the Houston Astros and Detroit Tigers has been delayed due to rain.

First pitch was initially scheduled for 6:40 p.m. EST but inclement weather in the area will prevent the contest from starting on time. The new start time has not yet been announced.

The Tigers are -169 favorites on the Moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook while the Astros are +138 underdogs. The run total sits at 7.5.

It’s a premier pitching matchup in this game as LHP Tarik Skubal (2.42 ERA, 0.87 WHIP, 190) starts for Detroit against Houston RHP Hunter Brown (2.45 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 164 SO).
