The Cincinnati Open final was set up to be an epic one on Monday, as world No. 1 Jannik Sinner faced No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz, the 13th head-to-head match between the two.

Unfortunately, Sinner was dealing with a illness from the prior day and the sweltering conditions on Monday did him no favors. After going down 5-0 in the opening set, Sinner retired.

“From yesterday, I didn’t feel great. I felt that I would improve during the match, but it came out worse. Super sorry to disappoint you. I tried to come out, trying to make it at least a small match, but I couldn’t handle more, so I’m very, very sorry for all of you.”

Luckily for DraftKings bettors, this falls under the new DraftKings Early Exit Program. To learn more, here’s a quick look at how the program works.

If the bet you placed on this game falls under the category outlined in the article above, you’ll receive a cash credit. For single bets: If your bet qualifies for Early Exit, you’ll receive cash credits equal to the amount of your original stake.

For Parlays and Same Game Parlays: The remaining legs of your parlay will remain open, and the odds of your parlay will be recalculated excluding the leg the qualifies for Early Exit. For a detailed explanation of the cash credit process, refer to this article on DraftKings cash credits.
