The Wings have won just two of their last 10 games entering today’s matchup against an Aces team that has won six straight and eight of its last 10 games. That doesn’t mean that rookie superstar Paige Bueckers hasn’t been making some noise, though. During this rough 10-game stretch for Dallas, the 2025 first overall pick is quietly averaging 20.4 points, 5.1 assists and 4.1 rebounds at a 40/30/97 clip.
Bueckers has cleared this line in five of her last seven games and draws a juicy matchup against an Aces team that has mightily struggled to limit opposing guards this season. Las Vegas ranks ninth in defensive rating and has allowed the second-most points per game to opposing guards. I’d expect the point guard to get going early, too, considering she has totaled 19 and 21 field goal attempts in her past two games, respectively.
Las Vegas has handled Dallas in all three head-to-head matchups this season, but two of those were decided by four or fewer points––the two games that Bueckers happened to be suited up for. The Wings are struggling, but she is simply good enough to single-handedly keep the game competitive for Dallas.
