Chimaev landed 510 total strikes, the most in UFC history in a single fight. The previous best was 447 by Max Holloway.

Chimaev continued to control DDP in the third round. On the ground, DDP unloaded strikes on the ground, busting open the champion. Chimaev was close to a submission but couldn’t get it. Regardless, another dominant round for the challenger.

Once again, Chimaev started the round with a takedown. Du Plessis kept trying to get back to his feet, but Chimaev was relentless in his takedown attempts. It is rare, but this performance from Chimaev so far is worth two 10-8 rounds to start the contest. Chimaev ended the round with over four minutes of control time again.

11:56 p.m. ET: Lerone Murphy defeats Aaron Pico by first-round KO
Aaron Pico had an excellent start to the first round, but Lerone Murphy landed a devastating spinning elbow knockout. This is Murphy’s ninth straight UFC victory and is now 17-0-1 in his MMA career. After taking this fight on three weeks’ notice, Murphy has likely done enough to fight for a UFC Championship.

11:34 p.m. ET: Carlos Prates defeats Geoff Neal by first-round KO
Prates started this fight passively, as he had against Ian Machado Garry. Although Prates didn’t land many significant strikes to start, he attacked Neal’s legs. Neal landed a bunch of great punches in the first round, but Prates responded with punches, leg kicks, and knees of his own.
At the last second of the first round, Prates landed a vicious spinning elbow, knocking out Neal. Prates has won 11 of his previous 12 fights in the first two rounds. Even after a loss, Prates proved that he still has an incredibly bright future ahead of him.

11:09 p.m. ET: Michael “Venom” Page defeats Jared Cannonier by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
From the start of the contest, MVP showed his one-of-a-kind charisma. Page had his hands down, moving quickly around the Octagon. Cannonier attempted two takedowns in the opening round but was unable to land one.
MVP looked much more precise and powerful than he has in the past. This was an incredible performance from Page. Come Tuesday morning, Page should find himself in the Middleweight rankings. Cannonier didn’t appear like his usual self; he was passive on the feet but did land a takedown at the start of the third round. In the third round, Cannonier dominated Page on the ground.
Page landed 29 significant strikes while Cannonier finished with over eight minutes of control time and two takedowns.
A highly anticipated 170-pound bout between Geoff Neal vs. Carlos Prates is the next fight on UFC 319.
10:35 p.m. ET: Tim Elliott defeats Kai Asakura by second-round submission
Kai Asakura began this fight aggressively and looked sharp. He did a good job of landing a variety of strikes on the feet, getting the better of Tim Elliott. In the first round, Elliott looked a bit too slow but landed a takedown to close the first round.
Elliott displayed a unique stance, making it difficult for Asakura to get into a consistent rhythm. Once Elliott got the fight to the ground, he finished Asakura with a guillotine. This is Elliott’s second straight win by submission and fourth in his last five. This marks Elliott’s first victory since December 2023. Elliott was +900 on DraftKings Sportsbook to win by submission.

9:50 p.m. ET: Baisangur Susurkaev defeats Eric Nolan by second-round submission
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Susurkaev was a -1200 before this contest. Susurkaev picked up his first victory via submission. He won his second fight this week as he knocked out Murtaza Talha on Dana White’s Contender Series on Tuesday. Susurkaev moves to 10-0 with nine finishes in his career. At only 24 years old, Susurkaev’s future seems bright.

9:18 p.m. ET: Michal Oleksiejczuk defeats Gerald Meerschaert by first-round KO/TKO
Michal Oleksiejczuk had a tremendous performance, outlanding Meerschaert 27-1 in significant strikes before finishing him. This is Oleksiejczuk’s second straight knockout victory. His previous five wins in the UFC have come by KO/TKO.
Baisangur Susurkaev is taking on Eric Nolan in a three-round Middleweight bout next.
9:05 p.m. ET: Loopy Godinez defeats Jessica Andrade by unanimous decision (29-28 x3)
Godinez has won her second straight fight. She landed 12 more significant strikes than Andrade while finishing with 1:33 of control time. This is Andrade’s third consecutive defeat, and she has gone 2-6 in her previous eight bouts.
The next fight is Gerald Meerschaert vs. Michal Oleksiejczuk.
8:35 p.m. ET: Alexander Hernandez defeats Chase Hooper by first-round KO/TKO
From the start of this contest, Hernandez seemed like he was getting the better of Hooper. Hernandez used his quick pace to frustrate Hooper and prevent him from recording a takedown. With this victory, Hernandez has increased his win streak to three.
