One of the biggest stories in MMA this week has been the emergence of Baisangur Susurkaev. Susurkaev, 24, knocked out Murtaza Talha in the first round on Dana White’s Contender Series on Tuesday. That impressive victory earned Susurkaev a UFC contract, and they immediately booked his first fight in the promotion for UFC 319. He is facing Eric Nolan, who has won four straight fights, including three knockouts.
Here is my best bet for Baisangur Susurkaev vs. Eric Nolan on the Prelims at UFC 319.
Baysangur Susurkaev Round 1 (-135)
Susurkaev is also a training partner and close personal friend of Khamzat Chimaev, who is challenging Dricus Du Plessis for the UFC Middleweight Championship in the main event. In his career, Susurkaev is 9-0 with eight knockouts in the first or second round.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Susurkaev is -1200 in this fight, the largest favorite on this card. He is even -295 to win via KO/TKO/DQ. Since he has seven first-round knockouts in his career, you can get him to win in Round 1 at -135.
Nolan is also a talented fighter, but his traditional weight class is Welterweight. Both guys took this fight on short notice, but Susurkaev had just fought four days ago and hadn’t absorbed any damage. When you add up all of the factors, it heavily favors Susurkaev to pick up another quick victory.
