Week 2 of the NFL Preseason is here, which means the annual Snoopy Bowl between the Jets and Giants has arrived. New York’s two teams face off at MetLife Stadium after spending the week practicing against each other.

Giants Preview
The Giants had a great showing in their first NFL Preseason game, beating the Bills 34-25. All four Giants quarterbacks — Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, Jaxson Dart and Tommy DeVito — played and performed well. Giants fans were particularly excited about their rookie quarterback, Jaxson Dart, who looked like the real deal in his first NFL action. All four quarterbacks are expected to play again in this game. After a couple of days of joint practices with the Jets, the starters might not see as much time, but most are expected to get some snaps. The Giants also played their top two running backs, Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary, who both should get more touches in live game action especially with Cam Skattebo out. It will be great to see if Jaxson Dart and EDGE Abdul Carter, the Giants’ two exciting rookies, can replicate their great Week 1 performances.
Jets Preview
The Jets also performed well in their opening preseason game, defeating the Packers 30-10. New Jets QB1 Justin Fields played well, as did backups Brady Cook and Adrian Martinez. The Jets’ QB2, Tyrod Taylor, remains sidelined with an injury, which means Cook and Martinez are in open competition for the Jets’ QB3 role the next two weeks. Aaron Glenn has been very cloak-and-dagger about whether or not his starters will play in this game, but expect Fields and some other Jets’ starters to see some action. Breece Hall had just three carries in the first game, while Garrett Wilson didn’t see any action. The Jets have plenty of young skill position players they want to test out, but it could be a chance for the Jets’ starters to get some reps in real game action together.
Best Bet
My best bet for this game is the under 39.5. Both of these defensive fronts looked dangerous in their opening exhibition game. The Giants have one of the best defensive lines in football with Brian Burns, Abdul Carter and Dexter Lawrence leading the way. The Jets also shut down the Packers in their preseason opener, with some of their young talent taking advantage of the Packers’ offensive line. The offensive line is one of the big areas of concern for the Giants, so it could be another big day for the Jets’ defense. After a week of joint practices, both teams’ starting offenses got a lot of reps against the opposing defense. That could mean fewer reps in this game for the starters. That should only help the defenses keep this a lower-scoring affair.
