Who’s up for a little Thursday MLB moneyline parlay?
There are just five games on the diamond this evening, so there aren’t a lot of options to choose from on the DraftKings Sportsbook, but that certainly doesn’t mean I don’t have a couple leans. Let’s break it all down and try to find a winning parlay for the people.
Today’s Three-Leg Moneyline MLB Parlay

Phillies Moneyline (-200)
Nothing is automatic in sports betting, but I will say that the allure of an elite left-handed starter against the Nationals is a strong one. The reasoning is simple enough: Washington is flush with left-handed bats. In fact, no team has taken more left-on-left plate appearances this season than the Nationals (636). These same-hand matchups haven’t exactly paid off, either, as Washington owns a .293 wOBA and an 86 wRC+ within the split. For his part, Luzardo has dominated opposing LHBs in 2025, holding the 121 he’s seen to a .198 average and a .215 wOBA. Overall, Luzardo has a 3.05 FIP across 133.0 innings of work and he struck out a season-high 11 Nationals when these squads met to begin the campaign back in late March. Needless to say, I’m expecting a great performance from Luzardo this evening in a Philadelphia victory.
Tigers Moneyline (-208)
I don’t expect I’ll get too much pushback here, though it is worth acknowledging that Tarik Skubal’s given up a combined seven earned runs in his past two starts and that the Tigers have somehow lost two of his last five outings. All that said, Detroit is 17-6 in Skubal’s starts for 2025 as a whole, as the left-hander leads all qualified AL starting pitchers in ERA (2.35), xERA (2.52) and FIP (2.13). This shouldn’t come a shock, but the reigning American League Cy Young Award winner is pretty legit. The same can not be said about Bailey Ober, who has struggled to an extreme degree over the past couple months. In fact, since June 6, Ober is in possession of a 7.68 ERA with a 7.50 FIP. That’s what can happen when you allow 16 opponent home runs over a 41.0 inning span. Woof.
Mets Moneyline (-194)
The entire Mets fan base is collectively shaking their heads at this leg of the parlay. Look, I completely understand that New York is a tough watch at the moment. After blowing a 6-0 lead last night to the Braves, the Mets are now 2-12 in their past 14 games and they’ve dropped five games back of the Phillies in the NL East — not to mention they’re just a single game up on the Reds for the final Wild Card spot. At the same time, Atlanta fans are almost as frustrated with their own team’s ineptitude. The Braves have dealt with injury after injury, and that’s how you get to a point where a club is willingly starting Bryce Elder and his 6.12 ERA on August 14. Heck, Elder owns a 6.25 ERA since the beginning of 2024, which encompasses 29 outings and 149.2 innings. The Mets can hit this guy and Kodai Senga has been amazing in 2025. Don’t let recency bias scare you away. New York is the play tonight at Citi.
