WNBA DFS Picks: Three must-start players for Wednesday 8/13/25

The WNBA season continues with a four-game slate Wednesday. Below, I have featured three of my favorite DFS targets for tonight’s four-game slate.

Set your DraftKings fantasy basketball lineups here: WNBA $40K Shootaround [$10K to 1st]!

F, Emma Meesseman, New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces, $7,200

Emma Meesseman has made a huge impact for the Liberty, who continue to be without Breanna Stewart (knee). After competing overseas for the last three years, Meesseman made her debut for the Liberty earlier this month and the former WNBA All-Star has been excellent in her first five starts for New York, producing 30 FPTS in 27 minutes per game.

Meesseman is handling a 23.9% usage rate with the Liberty and last night, she posted 42.25 FPTS in a road win over the Sparks. It’s a quick turnaround for Meesseman and New York, as they now face the Aces in Las Vegas tonight. That being said, the Aces rank ninth in defensive rating this season and Meesseman should continue to dominant in this slate-high 172-point total on DraftKings Sportsook. The 32-year-old is producing 1.14 FPTS per minute this season and Meesseman is the No. 1 value on the slate at this $7,200 salary, which is simply too low for the veteran.

F, Kamilla Cardoso, Chicago Sky at Connecticut Sun, $9,700

With Angel Reese (back) still sidelined, Kamilla Cardoso is an excellent target vs. the Sun. Cardoso is amassing 31.8 FPTS per game with Reese inactive this season (eight games) and in those contests, she is leading the Sky with a 25% rebound rate, compared to her 22.9% average for the season.

Connecticut ranks dead last in defensive rating and the team is giving up the second-most rebounds in the league this season. In this elite spot, Cardoso should surpass 30 FPTS, possibly with a double-double.

F, Aaliyah Edwards, Connecticut Sun vs. Chicago Sky, $4,300

Since being traded to the Sun at the deadline, Aaliyah Edwards has been a solid contributor off the bench for Connecticut, scoring 13 FPTS vs. the Aces and 16.75 FPTS vs. the Valkyries. The UConn product is only logging 17.5 minutes per game so far with the Sun, but Edwards’ role should continue to grow each game and her usage has been outstanding when she has been on the floor at 23.8%.

Edwards is generating 0.9 FPTS per minute this season and she has the potential for over 20 FPTS tonight against this putrid Sky defense that ranks second-to-last in rating this season.
