WNBA Best Bets Today: Top Prop Bets for Wednesday 8/13/25

Four WNBA games are set to take place today across the Wednesday night slate.

Starting at 7:00 p.m. ET, the Connecticut Sun and Chicago Sky will face off in a battle between the two worst teams in the league. A half-hour later, the Washington Mystics will host the Golden State Valkyries, with both teams on the playoff fringe.

In the later slate, the New York Liberty will take on the Las Vegas Aces, with tip-off scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET. These are the last two teams to win the championship, and each sits in the top five of this year’s league standings. Then, at 10:00 p.m. ET, the Atlanta Dream will travel to face the Seattle Storm for the third time this season and the first half of back-to-back matchups between these two teams.

With about 12 games remaining on each team’s schedule and the season over 70% complete, every matchup carries some more significant stakes. There are plenty of ways to get involved in the action across the Wednesday slate. Here are my three favorite WNBA prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for tonight’s games.

Marina Mabrey Over 2.5 Made Three-Pointers (+110)

It has been a disappointing season for both the Connecticut Sun and Chicago Sky as the two teams prepare to face off tonight. They are posting a combined 13-49 record and sit in 12th and 13th in the WNBA standings. Marina Mabrey has been one of the rare bright spots for Connecticut and is second on the team in scoring at 14.5 points per game. Mabrey has struggled from the perimeter this season, connecting on just 28.5% of her long-range attempts while launching 7.8 per contest.

But Mabrey is a 35.3% career three-point shooter and connected on 42.4% of her perimeter attempts last season with the Sun. This is a great matchup to get back on track, with the Chicago Sky allowing opponents to shoot the second-best three-point percentage against them this season. Teams are shooting 36.6% from beyond the three-point arc when playing Chicago, and this number is just under 40% across their past five games.

Mabrey is coming off a 0-for-6 three-point shooting performance in the previous game against the Valkyries, but connected on five three-pointers in back-to-back games before this. Even with her shooting struggles, Mabrey has made over 2.5 made three-pointers in seven games this season and connected on at least two long-range shots in 14 of her 22 games played. She shot 5-for-12 from beyond the three-point arc in her previous matchup against the Sky, and should have revenge on her mind after starting last season on the Chicago roster. The 28-year-old has attempted at least five three-point attempts in all but one game this season. With this level of volume expected and a friendly perimeter matchup, I am backing Mabrey to continue inching closer to her expected three-point efficiency and connect with over 2.5 three-pointers tonight.

Jonquel Jones Under 8.5 Rebounds (+110)

The New York Liberty made a notable roster shakeup by signing Emma Meesseman about three weeks ago. The two-time WNBA All-Star has been playing overseas since the conclusion of the 2022 season, but has performed at a high level and saw plenty of interest when she announced she would return to the WNBA following the conclusion of EuroBasket 2025. New York has been quick to throw her right in the mix and allow Meesseman to make an impact. She has logged 30+ minutes in each of her last three games, and played at least 17 in all five. The 6-foot-4 forward is averaging 14.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game thus far.

Jonquel Jones is right at the top of the list of players most impacted by the addition. While injuries have kept Jones off the floor for a few stretches this season, she has performed at a high level overall. The five-time All-Star is averaging 14.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game across the 20 games she has played. Jones is averaging 8.4 rebounds in the five games played with Meesseman and has been held under 8.5 rebounds in six of the last nine games overall.

Rebounding will be a key factor in the outcome of this game, with the Aces producing a 32.3% offensive rebounding rate since the All-Star Break, or the second-best rate in the WNBA. New York ranks last in offensive rebounding percentage over the past five games and is allowing the most rebounds to opponents on the season overall. They rank 11th in total rebounding percentage, and the Aces have a chance to dominate the glass outright tonight. The Liberty needs Jones to step up and help solve this, but it would not be the biggest surprise if her minutes continue to be limited a bit. Expect there to continue to be some growing pains as the Liberty sort through their frontcourt rotation and for Jones to get the short end of the statistical stick. Expect the Aces to be committed on the glass tonight and for Jones to be unable to pull in more than eight rebounds.

Allisha Gray Over 16.5 Points (-110)

The Atlanta Dream have been red-hot of late. They enter tonight’s matchup with the Seattle Storm on a five-game winning streak and have won seven of their last eight. Allisha Gray has been a driving force of this strong stretch, averaging 20.1 points per game over this period and shooting 46.4% from beyond the three-point arc.

On the season overall, Gray is averaging 18.9 points per game. She has tallied over 16.5 points in 18 of the 31 games. The three-time All-Star has already dropped 28 points against Seattle this season, which is her second-highest scoring output on the year. The Storm are a solid overall team, but their defense has struggled of late. They enter riding a five-game losing streak, in which they have allowed 90+ points in four of these matchups. Opponents are shooting 37% from beyond the three-point arc across their past five games.

This perimeter vulnerability is appealing, with Gray shooting 40.5% from beyond the three-point arc on a career-high 6.1 long-range shots per game this season. She is 19-for-30 from beyond the arc over her last five games. But Gray can fill it up in a variety of ways and expect her perimeter gravity to open up the rest of the offense. Count on the Dream’s leading scorer to continue to deliver in this role and capitalize on some of the sloppy rotations that have become the norm for Seattle. Gray has scored over 16.5 points in four straight games entering tonight, and her confidence is evident. Give some consideration to some alternate lines, with the left-hander scoring 22+ points in three of her last four and five of her last nine. But feel confident in Gray riding this momentum and surpassing her standard point prop of 16.5 for the fifth straight game.
