Daniel Jones has an opportunity to remake himself. Anthony Richardson has yet another opportunity to live up to his first-round-pick standing.
Hard to imagine a world in which both step up. Conversely, it could easily be a case where neither step up.
There’s no doubt that those question marks will dictate how things go in Indianapolis this season. Here’s how DraftKings Sportsbook bettors are viewing the Colts given those concerns.
QB to Take First Snap for IND Colts in Regular Season Week 1
Richardson is the favorite to start under center in Week 1. But, after opening at -280, his odds have shifted to -185 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Meanwhile, Jones’ odds in this market have gone from +210 to +145.
This movement appears to be powered by the action DraftKings Sportsbok has seen in the market. On 81% of the bets, Jones has seen 84% of the handle. Meanwhile, the favored Richardson has only see 16% of the handle on 17% of the bets.
Colts Win Total
After finishing 8-9 last season, the Colts’ win total has dipped year-over-year from 8.5 to 7.5. Still, Indy went over that mark last season — all while falling short of the total itself, which is more important.
This dip is something that sharps are attacking. The over on this win total has taken 65% of the handle on 41% of the bets.
While that’s a positive sign for Colts fans, it is worth noting that Indy has seen the third-lowest amount of handle in the To Make the Playoffs market. That could be in part due to the fact that Indianapolis finished 1-7 vs. playoff teams last season.
Notable Player Prop Splits
Richardson and Jones are both Comeback Player of the Year candidates going into 2025. Both have seen their odds shift since open. Richardson has gone from +4500 to +3500 after seeing five percent of the handle and bets from this market. Jones has seen fewer bets (four percent) but greater handle (six percent), bringing his odds down from +4000 to +2500.
As for player props, there are quite a few Colts options to pick from:
- Jonathan Taylor’s Regular Season Rushing Yards is 1200.5. The under has seen 48% of the handle on 29% of the bets.
- Taylor’s Regular Season Rushing TDs is 9.5. The over has seen 67% of the handle on 98% of the bets.
- Michael Pittman Jr.’s Regular Season Receiving Yards prop is 750.5. The under has seen 33% of the handle on 15% of the bets.
- Josh Downs’ Regular Season Receiving Yards prop is 700.5. The over has seen 90% of the handle on 98% of the bets.
Something else to note in this general area: Taylor (+1300) has seen the fourth-largest amount of handle in the Most Regular Season Rushing Yards market under the STAT Leaders category.
That said, there isn’t really an overwhelming over option among these season-long player props. But, there are quite a few unders to consider.
