Wednesday brings another MLB slate packed with exciting matchups top-to-bottom, and while most take place across the afternoon, there are still six games to draw from in DraftKings’ featured DFS contests.

SP Kevin Gausman, Blue Jays vs. Cubs; $8,800
With a smaller slate than usual, top-tier pitching options aren’t exactly plentiful. While it’s tempting to go with one of the two priciest options like Hunter Brown or Joe Ryan, we’re saving a little cash and still targeting high upside with Kevin Gausman.
The Blue Jays’ starter comes in with a $8,800 salary, so while still pricy, he’s the third-most expensive hurler option tonight. Gausman averages 17.5 FPPG this season with a 3.85 ERA and 1.08 WHIP, and he’s essentially posting a strikeout per inning with 135 punchouts in 135.2 innings. The right-hander put up 30 fantasy points or better in three of his last four starts dating back to July 21 with at least eight strikeouts and one or fewer earned runs in each of those three games. This matchup with the Cubs may not be the most ideal, but Gausman brings great form in recent outings and should hold his own with at least 20 points this evening.
3B Carlos Correa, Astros vs. Red Sox; $3,900
Carlos Correa’s numbers this season didn’t inspire a ton of confidence, leading to this lower salary in DFS. However, he’s totally turned it around and seems to have recaptured his former glory ever since rejoining the Astros at the Trade Deadline.
Over an 11-game sample in Houston in 2025, Correa slashes .364/.429/.545 with 16 hits, seven RBIs, seven runs, two homers and five walks. He truly looks rejuvenated with 10.4 FPPG over his last 10 appearances with seven double-digit outings, and tonight he faces a tasty matchup against Red Sox righty Walker Buehler (5.40 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, 75 SO). The upside doesn’t get much higher, and certainly not at this salary. Correa looks like a must-start on most nights, especially at this price point.
OF Andy Pages, Dodgers @ Angels; $4,200
The battle for Los Angeles continues tonight as the Dodgers go toe-to-toe with the Angels once more. While not a star name, Andy Pages brings plenty of value at an affordable price point in this contest.
The outfielder bats .280 with a .785 OPS this season and averages 7.8 FPPG. He’s been on a hot streak lately with at least one hit in each of his last seven games, and he posted double-digit fantasy points in six of those. He’s providing a safe floor at the moment at a solid salary that lets you still add some better talent elsewhere. He faces Kyle Hendricks (4.63 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 78 SO) tonight, a perfectly fine matchup, and Pages also feels due for a home run — he’s sent 19 over the fences this year but hasn’t mashed a long ball since July 22. If he gets one tonight, his ceiling increases, but he’s a great option you can count on regardless.
