How Evan Engram joining the Broncos improved his fantasy football stock

Evan Engram is coming off a down season in 2024, and the biggest reason for it was injuries. He only played nine games a season ago while dealing with hamstring and shoulder issues. Engram recorded 365 yards and a touchdown in those nine games.

If it weren’t for those injuries, the season would’ve looked much different. Engram’s 10.4 FPTS per game was tied for 10th best among tight ends. He finished as TE30 on the season despite playing just over half the year. He should be back to full fitness in 2025, and I’m excited to see what he can do in this offense with Bo Nix.

I think a healthy Engram can elevate his game with Denver. He faces little competition on the roster at his position, with Adam Trautman likely to fill in as the TE2. Bo Nix was able to get the passing game going last season, ranking 12th in the NFL in passing yards (3,775). Nix should only get better in 2025, which should open up even more opportunities for Engram and co in the passing game.

His best season came in 2023, and I think with a good bill of health, he can get back to that level this upcoming season. Engram finished that year with 114 catches, 963 yards and four touchdowns. If Engram can perform like that in 2025, he can take this Denver offense to new heights. The Broncos were sorely lacking at the tight end position a year ago, as Adam Trautman led the position group in receiving yards with only 188. A legit receiving threat from the position could elevate an already solid offense in 2025.

Engram brings a new dimension to this offense, and if he can stay healthy this season, I think his fantasy football stock will trend in the right direction. In my opinion, he will be a top 10 fantasy tight end in 2025 and don’t be surprised if he emerges as the second favorite receiving target for Denver behind Courtland Sutton.
