Priester has now won each of his last five starts and 10 of his past 12—a remarkable stretch that’s firmly established him as a key piece in the Brewers’ rotation.
Sean Manaea has quietly been solid for the Mets this season after making his delayed debut in July due to injury. In his most recent start, he allowed five runs to the Guardians—but it’s worth noting he held Cleveland scoreless through five innings before things unraveled in the sixth. Prior to that outing, Manaea had given up just one earned run in each of his first four starts, showing consistent command and effectiveness on the mound.
That being said, these Brewers are a different animal. They’re absolutely on fire, riding an eight-game winning streak after Saturday’s victory.
Brewers vs. Mets pick, best bet
These two teams couldn’t be heading in more opposite directions. Milwaukee owns the best record in baseball at 72–44, while the Mets have dropped 11 of their last 12 and are barely hanging on to the final NL Wild Card spot, leading by just 2.5 games.
With the way Priester is pitching and the Brewers’ offense firing on all cylinders—scoring 65 runs during their eight-game win streak—it’s nearly impossible to pick against them right now. Give me the home team in this one.
