WNBA DFS Picks: Three must-start players for Thursday 8/7/25

The WNBA season continues with a three-game slate Thursday. Below, I have featured three of my favorite DFS targets for tonight’s three-game slate.

F Naz Hillmon, Atlanta Dream vs. Chicago Sky, $8,400

Hillmon is a must-play with both Rhyne Howard (knee) and Brittney Griner (neck) remaining out tonight. With these two starters inactive for the last two games, Hillmon has started for the Dream and been outstanding, scoring 36.25 FPTS vs. the Mercury and 41.25 FPTS vs. the Mystics, both of which are top-seven defenses this season.

Hillmon is handling a 19.4% usage rate and she is logging a team-high 34.7 minutes per game as a starter in these past two games. She’ll play the. Sky, who rank second-to-last in defensive rating this season. In this juicy spot, Hillmon could reach the double-double bonus on DraftKings and has a ceiling over 40 FPTS.

F Elizabeth Williams, Chicago Sky at Atlanta Dream, $7,800

With Angel Reese (back) sidelined, Williams been one of the main beneficiaries for the Sky. In her last three games, Williams has finished with 33, 44.25 and 36 FPTS, in that order. The veteran moved into Chicago’s starting lineup against the Mystics and helped snap an eight-game losing streak. Williams logged a season-high 36.2 minutes in the victory.

The forward finished second in plus/minus for Chicago and should remain a starter tonight vs. the Dream. Williams is amassing 0.9 FPTS per minute this season and while this is a tough matchup with Atlanta ranking fourth in defensive rating, Williams is way underpriced for her current role. She is one of the best targets on the slate.

G Leila Lacan, Connecticut Sun at Los Angeles Sparks, $5,000

Lacan moved into the Sun’s starting lineup Tuesday vs. the Mercury and the rookie was a bright spot despite the loss. She finished with a career-high 30.25 FPTS across 22 minutes. Since then, the Sun traded Jacy Sheldon and a first round pick swap to the Mystics for Aaliyah Edwards. The 23-year-old won’t make her Connecticut debut Thursday, which keeps an opening for Lacan. She should continue to start and should approach 30 minutes in a likely shootout vs. the Sparks.

Both of these clubs rank inside the bottom three in defensive rating this season, and this game presents a slate-high 175-point total on DraftKings Sportsbook. Lacan is generating 0.9 FPTS per minute this season, and she has a great chance to exceed five-times value tonight.
