WNBA Best Bets Today: Top Prop Bets for Thursday 8/7/25

On the menu for Thursday is a three-game WNBA slate. Below, I have featured three of my favorite WNBA player prop bets for Thursday on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Kelsey Plum O 20.5 Points (-105)

Plum is in a perfect situation Thursday. The All-Star is at home and facing the league-worst Sun. This season, Plum is leading the Sparks with a 25.1% usage rate, and she has been more productive on her home floor, averaging 21.4 PPG in Los Angeles, compared to 19.7 PPG on the road.

Plum has exceeded 20.5 points in seven of her 12 home starts, and she has flourished against the Sun, scoring 23 and 30 points in her two matchups with Connecticut. The Sun rank dead last in defensive rating this season and in this spot, the Sparks boast a slate-high 92.5-point implied team total on DraftKings Sportsbook. Plum could explode Thursday night, and she is a terrific bet for over 20.5 points.

Brionna Jones O 13.5 Points (-125)

Jones has been great recently, scoring 14, 16 and 23 points in her last three games, in that order. Jones’ success has been a direct result of Brittney Griner (neck) being injured. The veteran got hurt in the first half three games ago and missed the second half of that tilt. Then, Griner went onto to miss the next two games, and she is doubtful for tonight’s matchup with the Sky.

Also, Rhyne Howard (knee) hasn’t played since early July and while she is nearing a return, Howard is doubtful for Thursday. With both Griner and Howard off the floor this season, Jones’ usage rises 2.4 percentage points to 22.8%, and she is averaging 14.4 points per 25 minutes. Facing a Chicago defense ranks second-to-last in rating this season, Jones has the potential to surpass 13.5 points with ease.

Natasha Howard U 7.5 Rebounds (-135)

This line is simply too high for Howard, and backing for her under 7.5 rebounds is a must. Howard is only averaging 6.8 rebounds per game this season, and she has stayed under 7.5 rebounds in 20 of her 30 games. Tonight, Howard will be facing the Mercury, who she finished with six rebounds against last Wednesday.

The Fever are a 3.5-point underdog for Thursday’s rematch with Phoenix and in losses this season, Howard is only averaging 6.2 rebounds per game, and she has fallen short of 7.5 rebounds in nine of those 13 defeats.
