WNBA Best Bets Today: Top Picks for Thursday 8/7/25

Thursday presents a three-game WNBA slate. Below, I have featured two of my favorite bets for Thursday’s WNBA action on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Naz Hillmon 19+ Points and Rebounds (-120)

With Brittney Griner (doubtful, neck) expected to miss her third game in a row, Hillmon should have no problems recording at least 19 PR vs. the Sky. Chicago ranks second-to-last in defensive rating this season and starting in place of Griner for the last two games, Hillmon has been awesome, posting 18 points and nine rebounds vs. the Mercury and then, a 14-point and 13-rebound double-double vs. the Mystics.

With the starting role, the Michigan product is leading Atlanta with 34.7 minutes per game, and she is handling a 19.7% usage rate. Facing a poor Sky team that is 8-21 this season, the Dream carries the third-highest implied team total of the six WNBA teams in action Thursday at 86.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook, and Hillmon has the potential for a large double-double in this elite spot.

Los Angeles Sparks vs. Connecticut Sun O 174.5 Points (-110)

The Sparks have been red-hot with an 8-2 record in its last 10 games, and the key to Los Angeles’ success has been the team’s offense. When we compare all the WNBA team’s last 10 games, the Sparks are leading the league with 93.9 PPG and the club ranks second in offensive rating.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles’ defense has continued to struggle, ranking second-to-last in defensive rating during this span, making this a strong spot for the Sun, who have been better offensively as of late. After being the worst offense in the league for most of the season, Connecticut ranks eighth in the WNBA with 81.1 PPG in its last 10 games.

The Sparks and Sun have gone head-to-head twice in the last month, and both games were shootouts, producing 180 and 187 total points. Los Angeles’ contests are a league-best 19-8-1 for the over this season, and backing Thursday’s rematch between the Sparks and Sun for over 174.5 points is wise.
