In the past week, multiple big matches have been teased at WWE SummerSlam 2025 and WWE Raw. Even after WrestleMania 41 and SummerSlam, new World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins still has to get past two of his most storied rivals, CM Punk and Roman Reigns. The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, made a shocking return on Sunday, and after he attacked John Cena, a final chapter in their legendary rivalry seems fitting. Here are the three biggest matches WWE can make following SummerSlam.

1. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns
This is the biggest possible match that WWE can make right now. Rollins and Reigns have a 10-plus-year history and have yet to face off with their current versions of their characters. They faced off at the last two WrestleManias with Reigns teaming with The Rock to take on Rollins and Cody Rhodes in a tag team match in April 2024. At WrestleMania 41 this year, Reigns faced Rollins in a triple-threat match also featuring CM Punk.
Their feud needs a proper ending with a big one-on-one match at one of the most significant premium live events of the year, such as WrestleMania 42.
2. John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar
Cena and Lesnar have faced each other six times in singles competition in their careers. Their last match was a triple-threat for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the 2015 Royal Rumble. They have had a great rivalry, and Lesnar is a great opponent for one of Cena’s last matches on his retirement tour.
With Cena’s career coming to an end soon, this match will likely take place at Clash in Paris on August 31, Paris, France. This match seemed impossible, given that Lesnar has been away from the WWE for two years.
3. Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk
Since CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series in 2023, he has had a rivalry with Rollins, creating one of the most significant feuds in wrestling. They have had three singles matches in 2025. Punk defeated Rollins at the Raw on Netflix premiere, but “The Visionary” has won the previous two matches.
Punk interrupted the Main Event of WWE Raw between Rollins and LA Knight. The “Best in the world” attacked Rollins and is out for revenge after Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Punk at SummerSlam. Like Rollins vs. Reigns, this match is also fitting for a massive premium live event in the future.
