The dog days of August have begun, and Major League Baseball is heating up. 15 games are on tap for Tuesday night, with most of the league still fighting for a playoff spot. With all 30 teams in action, the options are limitless when it comes to home run props. After taking a closer look at tonight’s slate, my favorite home run props are Jordan Westburg, Kyle Tucker, and Corbin Carroll.
An important disclaimer: home run bets should not be your go-to bet. By nature, these are long-shot prop plays. The returns can be big, but banking on a dinger every night is not a viable strategy. That’s not to say bettors can’t cash in on the long ball- just remember to set low expectations.
With that being said, here are three home run props I’m backing on Tuesday.

Jordan Westburg to record 1+ home runs (+330)
Few teams sold at the deadline quite like the Orioles. Several standout sluggers, including Ryan O’Hearn and Ramon Laureano, have left Charm City. Still, Baltimore has a few bats left over that can do some damage. It’s no coincidence that the O’s have scored the most runs in baseball over the past two weeks (85).
Part of the reason for Baltimore’s disappointing season is due to the health of Jordan Westburg. Injuries have held the second baseman back in 2025, but he’s still managed to deliver terrific statistics. Over 61 games, the 26-year-old is slashing .272/.318/.481 with 13 home runs. That includes a terrific .209 ISO and a career-best 5.1 HR% and 31.3 FB%.
Tonight, the Orioles will travel to hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park for a date with the Phillies. The home team will send out Taijuan Walker, who has been solid this season (3.82 ERA, 1.36 WHIP). However, the veteran has had difficulty with the long ball, accounting for a 1.7 HR/9 ratio. Westburg, after smacking a homer last night, looks poised for another moonshot on Tuesday.
Kyle Tucker to record 1+ home runs (+475)
The Cubs own baseball’s highest-scoring offense, averaging 5.19 runs per game. Leading the charge has been Pete Crow-Armstrong, a stealth MVP candidate. Still, don’t forget about Kyle Tucker. It’s been another terrific campaign for the outfielder, owner of a .274/.388/.479 slash line, 18 homers and 23 stolen bases. Unfortunately, the 28-year-old has notched a career-worst .205 ISO, 3.7 HR% and 32.6 FB%. Since the start of July, Tucker has homered just once (7/19 vs. the Red Sox).
Despite his recent power outage, Tucker is set up for a big game on Tuesday. The Reds will send out Zack Littell, acquired last week from the Rays. It’s been a career year for the righty (3.58 ERA, 1.12 WHIP). However, he’s a noted flyball specialist. Littell has notched a lackluster 1.8 HR/9 rate, the second-highest mark amongst qualified starters. At Wrigley Field, that could spell trouble.
Tucker’s season-long power numbers, while disappointing, are still nothing to sneeze at. It also helps that Chicago’s franchise cornerstone is currently priced at +475. With nearly five-to-one odds, Tucker offers terrific value tonight.
Corbin Carroll to record 1+ home runs (+310)
Much like the Orioles, it’s been a summer of change for the Diamondbacks. Arizona sold off several of its best hitters, including Eugenio Suarez and Josh Naylor. Still, the Snakes remain one of the better offensive units in the National League. That’s due in large part to the play of Corbin Carroll, one of the league’s best young hitters. This season, the outfielder is slashing .250/.325/.872 with 22 homers, 55 RBIs and 14 steals.
Although he’s not known as a power hitter, Carroll has plenty of pop. Look no further than his outstanding .297 ISO, the league’s sixth-best mark. A career-best 5.1 HR% and 33.2 FB% have helped, as well.
On Tuesday, Arizona will host a World Series-caliber Padres squad. Veteran Yu Darvish has looked like a weak link in this rotation, notching a 6.46 ERA and 1.35 WHIP over 23.2 innings. It doesn’t help that he’ll be facing a hitter that has his number in Carroll. The 24-year-old has gone 8-for-15 with two dingers against Darvish. Don’t be shocked if he goes yard once again tonight.
