Last season was certainly a challenging one for the Panthers. But, they did come through for those who bet on them to finish with over 4.5 regular season wins in 2024. Bryce Young and company aren’t exactly expected to take major strides in 2025, but their preseason win total has improved quite a bit.
Not only that, but there’s a Young prop that’s garnered some sharp money, which could bode well for Carolina fans in the long haul.
Panthers Win Total
Between the Panthers exceeding their win total last season (4.5 line, finished 5-12) and all the moves Carolina made in the offseason, DraftKings Sportsbook has seen enough to increase their 2025 regular season win total to 6.5.
One might think that’d lead to a sharp lean on the under. Surprisingly, that is not the case. The over on this play has seen 92% of the handle on 80% of the bets, making it both the public and sharp play.
Bryce Young Futures Splits
Across 16 games in his rookie season, Young finished with 2,877 passing yards. Last season, he logged 2,403 in 14 games (12 starts).
Yet, the line on his Regular Season Passing Yards total is set at 3,250.5. If he plays all 17 games for the Panthers, he’ll need to average just over 191 yards per game in order for the over to hit. (He averaged 179.8 per game as a rookie).
The sharps think Young can get it done. The over on his Regular Season Passing Yards prop has seen 92% of the handle on 69% of the bets.
Also, the over on his Regular Season Passing TDs prop (18.5) has received 99% of the handle on 96% of the bets. While the TDs prop still has a slight sharp lean, the passing yards prop has more appealing splits because they aren’t as heavy of a public play.
Other Notable Player Prop Splits
Part of the reason Young’s stock is rising is his new wide receiver, Tetairoa McMillan. The No. 8 pick in this year’s draft is +1600 to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, and he’s seen five percent of the handle on four percent of the bets.
Here’s a look at the splits for some of his season-long props, along with those of his teammates:
- McMillan’s Regular Season Receiving Yards prop is set at 800.5. The over has seen 97% of the handle on 95% of the bets.
- McMillan’s Regular Season Receiving TDs prop is set at 4.5. The over has seen 90% of the handle on 94% of the bets.
- Adam Thielen’s Regular Season Receiving Yards prop is set at 575.5. The under has seen 75% of the handle on 26% of the bets.
- Chuba Hubbard’s Regular Season Rushing Yards prop is set at 950.5. The under has seen 31% of the handle on 11% of the bets.
While the over on McMillan’s Regular Season Receiving Yards prop is very much playable, the splits for the Thielen and Hubbard props list above indicate the under is the play for those betting options.
Betting Trends from 2024 to Consider
While the data above will help you with season-long plays, the following stats produced by Young, Thielen and Hubbard in 2024 are instead applicable to gameday player props.

- The Panthers lost all seven games in which they faced a playoff team. (3-4 ATS in those games.)
- At home, Carolina went 6-3 ATS. On the road, the Panthers only went 3-5 ATS.
- Across all 17 Carolina games last season, the over on the game total went 13-4.
