The MLB Speedway Classic turned into an adventure due to the weather on Saturday night. Rain pushed back the start of the game for over two hours, and then after just one inning, the game was suspended after another deluge. Reds rookie Chase Burns was impressive with two strikeouts in the first inning, but he did not return to the game when it resumed on Sunday. Burns did not have an injury, but he left the game early. Due to the unique circumstances, DraftKings is making customers eligible to receive cash credit for bets on Burns as part of the new Early Exit Program.
Burns threw just 18 pitches in the game in the first inning with two strikeouts and a lineout to centerfield. He looked locked in and ready to roll to a big game.

Before the second inning, the game was delayed and later suspended until Sunday. After the suspension, Burns did not return. The Speedway Classic resumed on Sunday, and the Braves ultimately emerged as the winner, 4-2. It was also an entertaining event since it gave players a chance to showcase some fun looks like Tyler Stephenson’s catching gear.
