The Dallas Wings host the Indiana Fever for the third time this season as a part of tonight’s five-game WNBA slate. Caitlin Clark will remain sidelined for Indiana, making it her 15th missed game of the year and taking away some of the excitement in a potential showdown with fellow No. 1 overall pick Paige Bueckers.
Indiana has gotten the better of Dallas in both of the matchups thus far this season. The Wings have struggled overall with an 8-20 overall record, which puts them in 11th place in the WNBA standings. The Fever have not quite reached the heights they aspire to just yet, but enter with a 15-12 record and sit in sixth place in the league.
Looking at tonight’s odds, the Fever enter as 4.5-point favorites with -185 odds on the Moneyline. The Wings hold +154 odds of getting the outright victory on DraftKings Sportsbook with the game total set at 175.

Paige Bueckers Over 17.5 Points (-115)
Expectations were high for Paige Bueckers when she was selected with the first-overall pick in this year’s WNBA Draft. The UConn product has impressed thus far, leading the Wings with 18.3 points per game while adding 5.5 assists and 3.9 rebounds.
Bueckers typically meets the weight of the moment and is ready to deliver when the bright lights are on her. Across the first two meetings with Indiana, she has tallied 27 and 21 points. She has tallied over 17.5 points in 12 of the 22 games she has played overall, including back-to-back games entering tonight.
Indiana will be one of the more friendly scoring matchups for the Wings star. The Fever allow 81.1 points per game to opponents, which ranks seventh in the WNBA, and they play at the fourth-fastest pace which makes for plenty of scoring opportunities. Indiana has also allowed 91.3 points per game over their past five road games, including giving up 101 points to the Phoenix Mercury in their previous contest.
Bueckers will be at the epicenter of Dallas’ production once again tonight. She had some early growing pains when making the WNBA leap, but is averaging 19.7 points per game across her past 16 matchups and 19.1 per game across her past 10. With the previous success against the Fever in mind, this is a lower prop total than I anticipated, and I am backing Bueckers to continue riding her momentum of recent success. Count on the Wings’ star to see plenty of shot volume and record over 17.5 points for the third straight game and 13th time this season.
Paige Bueckers to record 2+ Made Three-Pointers (+145)
One area where I expect Bueckers to attack is from beyond the three-point arc. So far this season, she is shooting 34.7% from beyond the three-point arc on 3.7 attempts per game. Both her shot volume and efficiency have grown in recent games as she has settled in at the professional level. Across her past six games, Bueckers has connected with at least one three-pointer in each. She is shooting 37.9% from beyond the three-point arc on 4.8 perimeter shots per game across this stretch.
On the season overall, Bueckers has tallied two or more made three-pointers in just eight of 22 games. Two of these have already been against the Fever, and Bueckers enters this matchup having recorded at least two made three-pointers in three straight games. Indiana has done a nice job limiting opponents’ perimeter attack overall, allowing 22.6 perimeter shots per game which is the fourth-best rate. Teams are also shooting the third-worst three-point percentage against them at 31.5%.
However, this has not been bothersome to Bueckers to this point and more stock should be put in her recent stretch of play. Dallas will only go as far as Bueckers takes them and the franchise should feel encouraged by this based on her recent stretch of play. Look for these strong efforts to continue and for the Wings star to connect on a pair of three-pointers for the fourth straight game and the third time against the Fever.
