Micah Parsons has made it clear that he wishes to be traded from the Dallas Cowboys before the season begins. This is a look at the opening odds for his next team on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Micah Parsons posted one of the more shocking statements from an active player in recent memory to his X account on Friday.
It was thought that Parsons’ camp could just be putting out trade rumors as leverage for a new contract, but this is an aggressive statement from the All-Pro. It seems as if there could be irreparable damage between the franchise and its star edge rusher.
Parsons has been one of the NFL’s top EDGE players over the past few seasons. Since the start of the 2022-23 NFL season, only Myles Garrett and Trey Hendrickson have more sacks than Parsons. He deserves to be paid like one of the best defensive players in football, but Jerry Jones seems reluctant to do so.
Here is a look at the odds for where he will play next:

This market will be graded on where Parsons will play his first snap of the 2025-26 season. Despite his strong statement, the Cowboys are the favorite since the most likely outcome is still that Parsons and Dallas come to some sort of agreement.
After the Cowboys, the Eagles and Patriots are both 10/1 to land Parsons. The Eagles would be a shocking destination for Parsons. The Cowboys would hate losing Parsons, but losing him to a division rival would be even worse. Meanwhile, the Patriots are looking to build up a team that can win around Drake Maye under new head coach Mike Vrabel.
It would make sense for the Cowboys to trade Parsons to the AFC if they need to move him. That makes teams like the Chargers and Jets other logical destinations for Parsons. Jim Harbaugh had to game-plan against Parsons in college and would love to get him on his side as the Chargers look to compete deep into the postseason. Meanwhile, Aaron Glenn would surely love to add a monster like Parsons to his Jets defense as he looks to find success in New York.
It is still early in the process as Parsons just released this statement. However, with the season not far away, the Cowboys need to act fast to either re-sign Parsons or trade him away. They will need to make a big gesture, emotionally and financially, to earn trust once again with the star’s camp. However, they should have plenty of suitors who would be happy to pay up for Parsons with a haul of assets if they do look to trade him away.
