After an opening round of 61, Joel Dahmen (-9) leads the 2025 Wyndham Championship by one stroke. The front nine was lights out for Dahmen, recording six birdies. The back nine was a little steadier, finishing with four birdies and a bogey.
Dahmen ($6,400), was only rostered by 1.1% of teams in the DraftKings PGA TOUR $800K Summer Sand Trap tournament.
Alex Noren ($7,200) is only one shot behind after shooting an opening round of 62. The Swede finished Thursday with seven birdies, an eagle and a bogey. He was owned by 6.2% of players on DraftKings.
The chasing pack at (-7) includes Cameron Young ($7,900), Aaron Rai ($9,300), Nico Echavarria ($7,200) and Mark Hubbard ($6,900). Rai had the highest ownership of that group at 19.6%.
Matt Fitzpatrick ($10,600) was the highest owned player in the field at 25.1% and he finished the day with a round of 67. At (-3), he sits six shots behind the lead after one round. Jake Knapp ($9,100) was arguably the biggest disappointment of the day, shooting a round of 74. At (+4), he is now in danger of missing the cut. Knapp was owned by 20.1% of players on DraftKings.
DraftKings Sportsbook has Aaron Rai as the favorite at +700 after one round. He is trailed by Alex Noren at +850 and the leader, Joel Dahmen, at +1200.
