What happened to Chase Meidroth? Live injury updates for Phillies vs. White Sox 7/30/25

In the top of the sixth inning of Wednesday’s game vs. the Phillies, 2B Chase Meidroth exited the game. Meidroth was hit by a pitch in his hand/wrist area in the previous inning, and stayed in the game before being pulled in the sixth. He was replaced by Lenyn Sosa at second base. The good news is that his X-rays were negative and the team is calling him day-to-day.

Before exiting the game, Meidroth recorded one hit in two trips to the plate. The rookie has 77 hits this season, batting an average of .250. He has been one of the bright spots in what has been another disappointing season for White Sox fans. Chicago has a day off on Thursday and will travel to Los Angeles for a three-game road trip against the Angels starting on Friday.
